Exclusive Excerpt Snippet: Kiss of Snow by Nalini Singh

After some begging and pleading asking nicely, Nalini graciously offered a snippet of Kiss of Snow for those of us that are DYING for Hawke’s book. In Play of Passion, we really got a look into SnowDancer. Not only that, but there was quite a bit of Hawke’s POV and what a tortured alpha he is. It seems that Lucas has nothing on Hawke.

Hawke blocked Elias’s kick and put the senior soldier on his back. “Damn it, Eli. You’re leaving yourself wide open.”
Elias lay on the ground, chest heaving. “No I’m not. You’re just not pulling any punches.” He winced. “I’m going to set Yuki on you—she doesn’t like it when you beat me up.”
Unamused, Hawke waited as the other man rolled to his feet. “You said you wanted to spar so you could figure out what you needed to work on.”
“I take it back.” Elias braced himself with his hands on his knees. “The single person who can spar with you in this kind of a mood is Riley.” Rising to his full height, he shoved a hand through dark brown hair damp with sweat. “I need to give you my report anyway.”

I wonder what or who could have possibly put Hawke in such a mood. ::g::

  2. YAH for a snippet! I shouldn’t have peaked ahead, but I did 🙂

And I love that various secondary and other characters (e.g. Elias) are popping back in 🙂

OMG. Can’t wait so long =(

Oh, I hope that it will be not Sienna… she’s a great character, but she is so young. Kit and Sienna will be a perfect and sweet couple <3

  4. I am so glad that the book is Sienna/Hawke!!! I don’t know who else it could have been and PoP totally sets it up. Basically I can’t wait until and another excerpt comes up and then the whole book!!

Hawke is awesome and I look forward to him dealing with the whole Kit/ Sienna business that was honestly doomed from the beginning (Kit is much too young for a book. He needs to mature more and Sienna, I think, requires a mature male)
