I liked A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik. It was a recommendation on Ilona Andrews’ blog. I also liked Gigi Pandian’s Under Lock & Skeleton Key.
Couldn’t get into The Marlow Murder Club. I skimmed the last third to half of the book.

It looks like a good reading month for you both!

My favorite reads from June include Funny You Should Ask: A Novel by Elissa Sussman, See You Yesterday by Rachel Lynn Solomon, and a reread of Linesman by S. K. Dunstall.

    Books I didn’t care for I abandoned.

  3. DiscoDollyDeb

I read 18 books in June. My favorites were RIFF by Julie Kriss, LOLA AND THE SINGLE DAD by Kelly Hunter, and FEARLESS AT HEART by Zoe York.

I just finished You Were Made to Be Mine by Julie Anne Long and was a bit disappointed. It was good, but something was missing. The love at first sight theme didn’t quite work.
