It’s a new month so we’re back with a list of our Monthly Reads to share with each of you. This is where you’ll see what each of us has read and what our favorite books and our least favorite books of the month are. Check it out.

Casee

I read SIXTEEN books last month. 1-6. Sixteen. That is circa 2005 shit for me. I just couldn’t stop reading Claire Kinglsey.

Broken Miles (Miles Family #1) by Claire Kingsley | 4.5 out of 5
Forbidden Miles (Miles Family #2) by Claire Kingsley | 4 out of 5
Ransom (reread)(audio) by Julie Garwood | 4 out of 5
Reckless Miles (Miles Family #3) by Claire Kingsley | 4.5 out of 5
Hidden Miles (Miles Family #4) by Claire Kingsley | 4.25 out of 5
Remembering Ivy by Claire Kingsley | 4 out of 5
Dream Man (reread) by Linda Howard | 2 out of 5
Always Have (Always #1) by Claire Kingsley | 4 out of 5
Always Will (Always #2) by Claire Kingsley | 4 out of 5
Always Ever After (Always #2.5) by Claire Kingsley | 3 out of 5
Whiskey Chaser (Bootleg Springs #1) by Lucy Score | 4 out of 5
Sidecar Crush (Bootleg Springs #2) by Claire Kingsley | 4 out of 5
Moonshine Kiss (Bootleg Springs #3) by Lucy Score | 4 out of 5
Bourbon Bliss (Bootleg Springs #4) by Claire Kingsley | 4.5 out of 5
The Prize (reread)(audio) by Julie Garwood | 5 out of 5
Gin Fling (Bootleg Springs #5) by Lucy Score | 4.25 out of 5

My favorite book of the month was Reckless Miles by Claire Kingsley. The hero is yummy. My least favorite book was my reread of Dream Man by Linda Howard. Goddess, that book is horrible.

Holly

For the second month in a row, Casee read more books than I did. I’m pretty sure this hasn’t happened in the history of our 20(ish) year friendship. Congrats to her, but I need my reading mojo back! I finished 10 books and DNF’d 3. Sigh.

Darkness Dawns (Immortal Guardians #1) by Dianne Duvall (audio) | 3.75 out of 5
The Lasaran (Aldebarian Alliance #1) by Dianne Duvall (audio) | 3.75 out of 5
The Segonian (Aldebarian Alliance #2) by Dianne Duvall (audio) | 4 out of 5
The Purveli (Aldebarian Alliance #3) by Dianne Duvall (audio) | 3.5 out of 5
The Rogue King (Inferno Rising #1) by Abigail Owen | 3.75 out of 5
The Blood King (Inferno Rising #2) by Abigail Owen | 3.5 out of 5
Matchmaking for Beginners by Maddie Dawson | DNF
Wildest Dreams (Fantasyland #1) by Kristen Ashley (reread) | 2.5 out of 5
The Golden Dynasty (Fantasyland #2) by Kristen Ashley (reread) | 3.5 out of 5
Fantastical (Fantasyland #3) by Kristen Ashley (reread) | 3.5 out of 5
Broken Dove (Fantasyland #4) by Kristen Ashley (reread) | 3.5 out of 5
The Wolf’s Witch (The Witch’s Pack #1) by Rachel Medhurst | DNF
A Grave Spell by Jenna Collett | DNF

My favorite read of the month was The Segonian by Dianne Duvall, a new-to-me author this month. I loved the story and both main characters. My least favorite read of the month was A Grave Spell by Jenna Collett, which I DNF’d about halfway through. I’ve enjoyed novels by this author in the past, but the main character was very annoying and I wasn’t at all invested in the story.

I read 15 books in February. My favorite reads were Karla Sorensen’s THE PLAN, Serena Bell’s WILDER WITH YOU, and Cate C. Wells’s WALL. I didn’t DNF any books, but I was disappointed in Ella Frank’s WICKED HEAT: it’s an m/m romance, but it had a weirdly m/f gendered feel to it, starting with one hero having to “rescue” the other from the attentions of an older drunk at a bar. I wouldn’t even care for that “savior” set-up in an m/f, but it was baffling in an m/m.

I don’t usually count my reads, but it looks like I read 18 books/novellas last month, a number of which were rereads. It looks like I’m in good company with you both, Holly and Casee. How about you, @DDD — do you ever reread?

Favorites included a reread of the science fiction m/m/+ romance Bone Rider by J. Fally; the contemporary romance, All the Feels by Olivia Dade; and the young adult science fiction trilogy Earth Girl by Janet Edwards.

I put aside many books unfinished but won’t name titles.

@Kareni: I reread favorites here and there, but I have so many unread books on my tbr, rereading is not a regular thing.

Thanks for sharing, DDD. I have a huge number of unread books; however, old favorites are very noisy. There’s something reassuring about having a guaranteed good read!

Unfortunately my reading was down this month. I did manage to read Jill Shalvis’ The Family You Make and enjoyed it.

  4. Glenda M

I finally read Loretta Chase’s Miss Wonderful and Mr Impossible as well as several Emma Chase books – Getting Schooled, Getting Real, Royally Screwed, and Royally Yours. They were all great reads. Is it sad that I know there were a couple books I didn’t like early in the month but I can’t remember what they were? I’m pretty sure I blocked them from my memory.

My least favorite read was Nora Roberts’ latest release. There’s so much that’s disappointing with this series. My favorite of the month was Made in Manhattan by Lauren Layne.

worst book and cover: The End Begins by Sara Davison
Drift by L.T. Ryan was interesting

My favorite book of the month was Bewitched, a PNR by Kelly Moran, featuring 3 witchy sisters who need to team up with 3 triplet non-magical brothers over the course of the series to break a curse on both their families. I also loved A Most Unusual Duke by Susanna Allen, a historical PNR set in the Regency period and featuring an arranged marriage between a human and a bear shifter. The author’s writing style took a bit of getting used to, but once I did, I really enjoyed it.
