Rowena: It’s a new month of releases and I’ve got to say that while I’m pretty stoked for some releases this month, there weren’t as many books as I thought I’d be drooling over. Strange. Here are the books that I’m looking forward to releasing this month.
1. Chaos (Mayhem #3) by Jamie Shaw.
From the moment she saw Shawn Scarlett perform at a school talent show, Kit Larson has loved two things: the guitar, and the gorgeous, green-eyed boy who inspired her to play. But one careless night in high school shatters her hope of ever being more than a notch on his bedpost.

Rowena: Shawn’s book! I just finished this book and enjoyed it. I’m all about the contemporary NA genre right now and this one was a good one. Shawn was everything I hoped he would be and I can’t wait for everyone to be able to enjoy his story as much as I did. 🙂
2. Jesse’s Girl by Miranda Kenneally.
Practice Makes Perfect.
Everyone at Hundred Oaks High knows that career mentoring day is a joke. So when Maya Henry said she wanted to be a rock star, she never imagined she’d get to shadow *the* Jesse Scott, Nashville’s teen idol.
But spending the day with Jesse is far from a dream come true. He’s as gorgeous as his music, but seeing all that he’s accomplished is just a reminder of everything Maya’s lost: her trust, her boyfriend, their band, and any chance to play the music she craves. Not to mention that Jesse’s pushy and opinionated. He made it on his own, and he thinks Maya’s playing back up to other people’s dreams. Does she have what it takes to follow her heart—and go solo?
Rowena: This is another delightful treat for fans of contemporary YA. Miranda Kenneally wrote a sweet story about a gorgeous country star and the girl he fell in love with. Fans of Jordan and Sam Henry will especially love this since this book features Sam’s little sister, Maya.
3. Racing the Sun by Karina Halle.
From the USA TODAY bestselling author of Where Sea Meets Sky comes a new adult novel about a young woman who becomes a nanny in Capri and falls for her charges’ bad-boy brother.
It’s time for twenty-four-year-old Amber MacLean to face the music. After a frivolous six months of backpacking through New Zealand, Australia, and Southeast Asia, she finds herself broke on the Mediterranean without enough money for a plane ticket home to California. Rowena: I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about this author so I’m going to check this one out.
4. If I Could Turn Back Time by Beth Harbison.
Told with Beth Harbison’s wit and warmth, If I Could Turn Back Time is the fantasy of every woman who has ever thought, “If I could go back in time, knowing what I know now, I’d do things so differently…”
Thirty-seven year old Ramie Phillips has led a very successful life. She made her fortune and now she hob nobs with the very rich and occasionally the semi-famous, and she enjoys luxuries she only dreamed of as a middle-class kid growing up in Potomac, Maryland. Rowena: This one sounds like a good one. It sounds like the perfect book to take a break from what I usually read so count me in!
5. A Million Miles Away by Lara Avery.
Perfect for fans of Nicholas Sparks, this breathtaking story of love and loss is guaranteed to break your heart and sweep you off your feet.
When high school senior Kelsey’s identical twin sister, Michelle, dies in a car crash, Kelsey is left without her other half. The only person who doesn’t know about the tragedy is Michelle’s boyfriend, Peter, recently deployed to Afghanistan. But when Kelsey finally connects with Peter online, she can’t bear to tell him the truth. Active duty has taken its toll, and Peter, thinking that Kelsey is Michelle, says that seeing her is the one thing keeping him alive. Rowena: This one intrigues me. I haven’t heard much about the book but I’m curious about it. Falling in love with your dead sister’s boyfriend? I wonder what’s going to happen when he finds out she isn’t who he thought she was.
6. Him by Sarina Bowen, Elle Kennedy.
They don’t play for the same team. Or do they?
Jamie Canning has never been able to figure out how he lost his closest friend. Four years ago, his tattooed, wise-cracking, rule-breaking roommate cut him off without an explanation.
