I have a love hate relationship with November. I love that so many awesome books are released in anticipation of the Christmas season. I also hate that so many awesome books are released. Or should I say my bank account hates it?
1. Never Judge a Lady by Her Cover by Sarah MacLean.
RITA® Award-winning author Sarah MacLean reveals the identity of The Fallen Angel’s final scoundrel in the spectacular conclusion to her New York Times bestselling Rules of Scoundrels series . . .
By day, she is Lady Georgiana, sister to a duke, ruined before her first season in the worst kind of scandal. But the truth is far more shocking—in London’s darkest corners, she is Chase, the mysterious, unknown founder of the city’s most legendary gaming hell. For years, her double identity has gone undiscovered . . . until now.
Brilliant, driven, handsome-as-sin Duncan West is intrigued by the beautiful, ruined woman who is somehow connected to a world of darkness and sin. He knows she is more than she seems, and he vows to uncover all of Georgiana’s secrets, laying bare her past, threatening her present, and risking all she holds dear . . . including her heart.
Holly: This was a great read. I wasn’t sure what to expect from Chase, but she was everything I hoped she’d be.
Rowena: I adore Sarah MacLean’s books. They’re always filled with my favorite parts of historical romances. Lots of steam, strong heroines with sexy heroes and I have a feeling that Chase is going to be one of the strongest characters I’ve read about in a long time. I’m looking forward to reading this book.
2. Blade of the Hunt by Lauren Dane.
“When you awaken, you will have to find her yourself. Or she will find you.”
These were the words given to Rowan Summerwaite by the Goddess as Rowan lay clinging to life. Broken—but not defeated—by the ancient Vampire Enyo.
After weeks of mandatory down time, a recharged and vengeance-fueled Rowan heads out from her father’s Keep, leading a team of some of the most terrifying beings on earth with one goal in mind—track and eliminate the Vampire who attacked her.
But as the team moves across Europe and is hit with wave after wave of attacks, the tensions between Clive Stewart—the haughty, stylish Scion of North America whom Rowan grew even closer to during her recovery—and a rival Vampire ramp up. Befuddled, confused, flattered and annoyed, Rowan’s the woman in the middle. She’s not used to being claimed in a way that’s not about how strong her sword arm is or who raised her. Clive Stewart is everything she shouldn’t want in a man—he’s bossy, he’s a Vampire, and he considers her his—but she’s past denying how it makes her feel that he fights for her the way he does. She’s past denying she’s in love.
In contrast to the uneven footing falling in love has given her, Rowan is utterly certain she will locate her quarry. She’s stronger and more powerful than she’s ever been after the tests and bloody lessons of the last years. Her connection with the Goddess is seamless and the light of her mission burns from within. And she’ll need all the help she can get because it’s not very long before Rowan and her team realize the threat is far greater than one crazy old Vampire. There’s a war brewing and Rowan will fight it to the death. It’s what she was born to do.
Holly: I’m a book behind in this series, but I’ll be buying this anyway. I really need to catch up.

It started out so simple. One misfit helping another. Now Max will do anything to show Courtney that for every heart that’s ever been broken, there’s another that can make it complete.
Holly: I loved this book. Loved. Loved Max. Loved him. Did I say loved?

Holly: To be honest, I’m more excited for this book because of Robert than Beth. She didn’t stand out for me in the previous books, but he did.
Rowena: Sandy James is another author that I’ve been wanting to read for quite some time. This sounds like a cute read so on my TBB list it goes.
6. Wild by Sophie Jordan.
Months after her boyfriend dumped her, Georgia can still hear the insults he hurled at her. Boring. Predictable. Tame. Tired of feeling bad, she’s ready to change her image and go a little wild. What better way to prove her ex wrong than a hot night of adventure at the secret campus kink club?

Rowena: I got this book for review and couldn’t devour it fast enough. While the heroine got on my last nerve, the hero more than made up for that. I adored Logan and think everyone should read this book for him. He’s full of yum.
7. Broken Open by Lauren Dane.

Holly: Another fabulous read from Dane. These Hurley boys are so delicious. And of course Tuesday kicked major ass.
Rowena: I read and adored the first book in this series so I’m really looking forward to reading this one. I know that Holly has already read and enjoyed it so I know that I’m going to love it. Bring on the Ezra!

Rowena: I’m not even sure why I am continuing with this series. I feel like we’ve gotten enough of Ella & Micha. Their story has been told and their characters should be put to rest already but Jessica Sorensen keeps writing and like the dumb ass that I am, even though I don’t need any more Ella & Micha stories, I still buy them because I can’t help myself and this isn’t going to be any different.

It’s seer Makenna Frazier’s first day on the job at Supernatural Protection and Investigations, and her first assignment is more than she bargained for when bodyguard duty for a leprechaun prince’s bachelor party goes every which way but right in national bestselling author Lisa Shearin’s Lucky Charms .
Holly: Four stories from four powerhouse authors. I don’t see how this can go wrong.
29. The Billion Dollar Player by Mandy Baxter.
In The Billion Dollar Player by Mandy Baxter, Jase Blackwell, starting tight end for the Dallas Cowboys, is a pro when it comes to football—and to women. Never one to shy away from a challenge, “Billion Dollar Blackwell” is finally able to get the cute waitress he’s had his eye on out for a little fun. But when their steamy encounters inspire Jase to play better than he ever has before, he has to wonder if this exciting woman is more than just a good luck charm…
Avery Lockhart doesn’t understand why a pro football player would want to go out with her. Incredibly wealthy and undeniably sexy, Jase Blackwell is everything she thinks she’s not. Getting a little closer to this enigmatic billionaire, however, proves too much for Avery to resist. But as their passion heats up, so does Jase’s game play, and soon, the rumors start to fly. Is Avery only being kept around to ease Jace’s pre-game superstitions? Or, like she believes, does their connection run deeper…?
Holly: This series just came on my radar. I’m a total sucker for sports books, especially football.
30. Unraveling You by Jessica Sorensen.
Ayden Gregory and Lyric Scott have been best friends since they’ve been born. They’ve always been there for each other, even when life gets hard. But when their on the road touring with their band, the line between their friendship gets blurry…
**Official blurb coming soon**
**A New Adult novel about Ella and Micha’s daughter and Lila and Ethan’s son from The Secret Series. However, this book can be read as a standalone.**
Rowena: See? I think we’re going to OD on these Ella & Micha books. Here’s another one that doesn’t feature Ella & Micha at the forefront but this is their kid’s book and their kid is getting with their best friends kid so it’s more best friends hooking up with best friends and I’m still a dumb ass because I already pre-ordered this. *sigh*
31. There’s Something About Ari by L.B. Gregg.
Buck Ellis’s future seems pretty damn bright. With a full college scholarship in hand, he’s going to ditch Bluewater Bay and pave the way for his kid brother Charlie to do the same. The only fly in Buck’s ointment is his ten-year addiction to his best friend since second grade, his true love, and his Achilles heel: Ari Valentine, Mr. Least Likely to Succeed.
But then Buck’s mother dies, changing everything, and five years later, his future is still on hold. It’s a struggle to keep food on the table, a roof over their heads, and Charlie on the straight and narrow. Buck can’t afford any temptation, especially in the form of the newly returned, super hot, super confident, super successful television star Ari Valentine.
ADHD poster-child Ari Valentine left for Hollywood and lost everything, including his bad reputation. Then the breakthrough role of his skyrocketing career lands him back in Bluewater Bay, to the stunned disbelief of, well, everyone. But there’s only one person Ari longs to impress—the only person who ever really mattered to him, the person he left behind: Buck Ellis.
Holly: I really love L.B. Gregg’s books. They’re always full of humor and wit.
Rowena: I really love L.B. Gregg too. She’s so full of awesome.
32. Tempting the Player by Kat Latham.
Libby Hart and Matt Ogden are perfect for each other—as friends. They’ve known each other for ages. They act as each other’s plus-ones. They even share custody of a dog. And if there’s always been a little spark between them, so what? It’s never been worth jeopardizing their friendship.
Professional rugby player Matt is fighting for a starter position with the London Legends—and that’s not the only thing he’s fighting. A crippling fear of flying means he’s struggling to get his career off the ground. He has no time for a relationship, even if Libby does make him ache. As an airline pilot, Libby’s looking for a stay-at-home husband so she can have a family without sacrificing her high-flying career. Matt’s certainly not that man.
But just because they don’t have a future together doesn’t mean they can’t have a right now. When Matt asks Libby for help overcoming his fear, they agree to take a vacation from their platonic relationship—whenever they fly together, they can have sex. It’s the perfect way to resolve all that built-up tension. As long as they can avoid getting a little too comfortable…
Holly: This was such a good read, you guys. I loved Matt. LOVED him. He was so freaking cute with his phobia about flying. I just wanted to wrap him up and put him in my pocket.
Rowena: I’m not sure why I haven’t started this series yet because hello? This features a freaking rugby player and I love me some rugby players. I need to fix this because you can never have too many hot rugby players in your life.
33. Wild for Him by Jill Sorenson.
Mitch Stone is a man with a plan. Drive to San Diego, rescue his lady from the earthquake rubble and salvage their long-distance relationship. But instead of playing hero, he gets stuck volunteering at an evacuation center with his girlfriend’s quirky best friend.
Gwen Tagaloa is a woman on the edge. She’s a tattoo artist do-gooder who would never cross the line with her best friend’s man. Especially not an iceberg of a man like Mitch Stone. She appreciates his help and doesn’t even notice his rock-hard muscles. Much.
After Mitch gets his heart broken, Gwen discovers that love—like an earthquake—can strike when you least expect it.
Holly: Sorenson is a go-to for a good read. I’m intrigued by the premise here especially. Guy falls in love with girlfriend’s best friend? Can’t wait to see how that plays out.
Rowena: This sounds like a good one. Those forbidden ones always get me and it’s written by Jill Sorenson? I’m all the way in for this one.
34. Santa’s Playbook by Karen Templeton.
Wanted: One mom for Christmas!
High school football coach Ethan Noble works wonders with his players. But at home, the handsome widower is just trying to keep four adorably unruly kids in line. He definitely isn’t looking for love…or so he thinks. When his oldest insists her drama teacher, Claire Jacobs, is perfect for him, it’s all Ethan can do to resist Claire’s bright smile and infectious laugh.
Claire privately admits that she wouldn’t mind Coach Noble making a pass at her. But his family dynamic is as complicated as Hamlet’s! For one, Ethan is still grieving for his late wife. Besides, Claire knows she’s not meant to star as a stepmom, although the entire Noble clan warms her heart this holiday season. Will Claire wait in the wings for Mr. Right, or make her curtain call a very Noble happily-ever-after?
Holly: I’ve been off categories for awhile now (I just burned out and needed a break) but I love Templeton. I’m excited to read this one (in December, when it’s acceptable to read Christmas books).

So many books coming out this month! I still haven’t made it to The Kraken yet, but I can’t wait. And then I just got a copy of Jeannie Lin’s new book Gunpowder Alchemy, which I have high hopes for because it looks like my crack. And then I still have a couple holiday reads I want to get to. If work would ease up on me just a little I could start plowing through all these!
