Holly: I finally found my reading mojo again in August. I read 20 books, most of which were NA. I completely binged on NA. I hate it when I do that, because I end up burning myself out. But I can’t complain, because at least I was reading.

Rumor Has It by Jill Shalvis 4.5/5
Down London Road by Samantha Young (re-read) 4.5/5
Archangel’s Legion by Nalini Singh 4.5/5
All of You by Christina Lee 4.25/5
Her Favorite Rival by Sarah Mayberry 4/5
The Untamed Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley 4/5
The Sum of All Kisses by Julia Quinn 4/5
Trust in Me by Dee Tenorio 3.5/5
Easy by Tammara Webber 4.5/5
(Never) Again by Theresa Paolo 3/5
Stealing Phin by Avery Hale 3/5
Into the Deep by Samantha Young 3.5/5
Too Fast by Alexia Haynes 3/5
Drip Drop Teardrop by Samantha Young 2.5/5
Tomorrow is Today by Julie Cross 3/5
Heart of the Moment by Elle Kennedy 3.5/5
The Gamble by Kristen Ashley (re-read) 4/5
Ruin by C.J. Scott 2/5
Lacybourne Manor by Kristen Ashley 2/5
If You Stay by Courtney Cole DNF – 1.5/5

My favorite reads of the month were Archangel’s Legion by Nalini Singh (OMG EFFING FAB) and Easy by Tammara Webber (totally kicking myself for not reading it sooner). My least favorite read of the month was probably If You Stay by Courtney Cole, though I’m not sure I can count it since I didn’t finish reading it. I really had a hard time with the writing. Since that’s kind of cheating, I’ll say Ruin by C.J. Scott was my least favorite. The heroine drove me crazy. Since the story was written in first person from her POV, that didn’t make for great reading.

Rowena: For me, August was a good reading month. I didn’t read nearly as much as I wanted but it wasn’t a bad reading month for me.

Here’s what I read:

Perfect Fling by Carly Phillips (4.25 out of 5)
Some Like it Hot by Susan Andersen (3 out of 5)
The Truth about You and Me by Amanda Grace (3 out of 5)
Keeping Her by Cora Carmack (4.5 out of 5)
Always on My Mind by Jill Shalvis (4 out of 5)
My Favorite Mistake by Chelsea M. Cameron (2.75 out of 5)
Find Me by Romily Bernard (4 out of 5)
The Bet by Rachel van Dyken (3 out of 5)
Rumor Has It by Jill Shalvis (4.5 out of 5)
Run to You by Rachel Gibson (3 out of 5)
Brooklyn Girls by Gemma Burgess (3.25 out of 5)
Blue by You by Rachel Gibson (4 out of 5)
Into the Deep by Samantha Young (4.5 out of 5)

My favorite read of the month goes to Keeping Her by Cora Carmack. I thought it was adorable and I was glad to get Garrick’s POV as opposed to just Bliss’. I wish NA books did this in their books instead of releasing these novella’s after the fact. It would be nice to get POV’s from both main characters, instead of just one. But hey, I’m reading more NA books that are doing this so I guess I can’t complain (too much). My least favorite book this month would probably be My Favorite Mistake by Chelsea M. Cameron.  For most of the book, I couldn’t stand the main character (the female lead) because she was such a bitch to the love interest but as she thaws out, she gets better but man…that beginning was rough.

How was your August in reading?
