Genres: Paranormal Romance

Main Characters: Kaylee Cavanaugh, Nash Hudson, Tod, etc..
Series: Soul Screamers, Book 3

Kaylee has one addiction: her very hot, very popular boyfriend, Nash. A banshee like Kaylee, Nash understands her like no one else. Nothing can come between them.

Until something does.

Demon breath. No, not the toothpaste-challenged kind. The Netherworld kind. The kind that really can kill you. Somehow the super-addictive substance has made its way to the human world. But how? Kaylee and Nash have to cut off the source and protect their friends—one of whom is already hooked.

And so is someone else…

Holy goodness, this book was the business!

From the beginning of the book to the end of the book, it’s non stop action. This book has everything I felt was missing in Book 2, My Soul to Save and just when I didn’t think I could take anymore, Vincent delivers even more to make me gasp, sigh and shake my head.

So many gasp worthy moments, characters that you thought you knew but knew nothing about and a betrayal that left your heart hurting long after you put the book down. Vincent did such a fantabulous job of engaging the reader and I don’t know if I could wait until January of 2011 for the next installment in this series. The way this book ended made me want to sell my right arm for a chance to read it now.

In this book we have Kaylee and Nash trying to figure out which demon is selling demon’s breath to teenage human boys, which they call the new drug, frost. Kaylee can’t stand by and watch the demon’s breath kill these young boys so once again, she ropes Nash into helping her find the culprit and then make the world right again…all without the help and aid of the grown up adults bean sidhe’s because they can’t know what’s going on.

The human boys that are addicted to “frost” aka demon’s breath are Nash’s friends, Scott Carter and Doug Fuller. Doug also happens to be dating Kaylee’s best friend, Emma so Kaylee has a vested interest in how everything goes down. She’s got to stop Doug from taking the drug and she’s got to find out just who in the hell is giving demon’s breath to the kids.

When I tell you that a lot of crap goes down in this book, I’m not lying. So much happens and your heart will hurt after all is said and done. This book has it all, it’s got angst, it’s got action, thrills and you won’t be able to put it down.

A lot of questions were raised in my head while I was reading this one. Like, why doesn’t Kaylee ever go to the adults for help? Why does she keep thinking her “I just found out that I’m a bean sidhe three months ago and I can do it all” butt can save the world? When did Tod grow so fond of Emma? Is anything going to happen between Emma and Tod? It’s Book 3, why doesn’t Kaylee kick Sophie’s butt already?

What, where, why, how? This book’s got it all.

This book is the perfect addition to an already fabulous series so if you haven’t started this series, WHY THE HECK NOT? You’re totally missing out. Rachel Vincent has definitely been bumped up on my authors I will cyber stalk the news part of their web sites for more information on my favorite series.

Yeah, it’s that good.
