TG’s review of The Iron Queen (Iron Fey #3) by Julie Kagawa
Her name is Meghan Chase. She thought it was over. She thought that her time with the fey, the impossible choices she had to make, the sacrifices of those she loved, was behind her. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag her back, kicking and screaming. Drag her away from the banished prince who’s sworn to to stand by her side. Drag her into the core of conflict so powerful, even she’s not sure she’ll survive. She’s not sure anyone can survive it. . . . This time, there will be no turning back.
Inside Julie Kagawa, there is an immense power. A power she wields with confidence. She has the ability to write flawlessly, to create characters with a spark of life in them that makes them seem to come alive. She can take one girl, and turn her from an isolated bumpkin, to an all powerful Regina. Her writing seems effortless and breezy, with just the right amount of emotion to engage the reader. Her characters are well rounded and filled with a complex thought process.
From the very first page, I was enraptured. My thoughts could not be persuaded to focus on anything else until it was finished, and after I read from cover to cover, I craved more. I would highly recommend this and all of the Iron Fey series to other young adult lovers. If faeries are your thing, you’ll never see them like this again. But I’ll let you see for yourself. Happy reading!
