Inside Julie Kagawa, there is an immense power. A power she wields with confidence. She has the ability to write flawlessly, to create characters with a spark of life in them that makes them seem to come alive. She can take one girl, and turn her from an isolated bumpkin, to an all powerful Regina. Her writing seems effortless and breezy, with just the right amount of emotion to engage the reader. Her characters are well rounded and filled with a complex thought process.
From the very first page, I was enraptured. My thoughts could not be persuaded to focus on anything else until it was finished, and after I read from cover to cover, I craved more. I would highly recommend this and all of the Iron Fey series to other young adult lovers. If faeries are your thing, you’ll never see them like this again. But I’ll let you see for yourself.
