Kris‘ review of With Grace by Samantha Wayland.

A man yearning to explore his sexual tastes but afraid to turn up the heat, the woman who loves him but is hungry for more spice…and the chef who craves them both.

When Grace, Philip and Mark find a mobster’s flash drive full of incriminating information, they are quickly embroiled in a dangerous situation. They stay together for safety, but proximity ignites the sparks they’ve long been fighting to ignore.

When three friends dare to succumb to their appetites, they find the perfect recipe for love.

This was a good HOT menage story.

Grace and Philip are in a relationship and Mark is on the outside looking in. Mark knows that he is bi but has not been in any relationship in a long time because he has been busy getting his restaurant going. Grace and Mark work together and she has had a long time attraction for Mark, but is happy in her relationship with Philip, mostly. She wishes sometimes that Philip would be more dominating in bed and of course Phillip is holding back but does not want to scare Grace. But Grace has decided that she is going to let Philip know about her desires. When Philip stops in to see her at the restaurant, Each of them notices that something has shifted in Philip’s inclinations. Philip has always been straight and never had any inclination to try anything else, until he sees the sparks between Mark and Grace and notices that Mark is a very nice looking guy. So he starts to think and think.

That night someone breaks into the restaurant and Grace lives the closest so she goes to talk to police until Mark can get there. Grace and Philip invite Mark to stay with them so that he will be closer to the restaurant because the windows are only boarded up and not very secure. Other things happen and they start to look at each other in ways other than platonic. Then there is another break in and no one has any idea what the intruders want.
The storyline was good. There was an element of suspense that made it more than a basic romance menage story so that was nice. I loved to watch Philip as he explored an unknown territory. And the three of them as they explored being a permanent menage. As far as the characters go, I loved Mark’s character. But Grace, and Philip to a lesser extent were kind of two dimensional to me, not very much depth. I wish that more had been developed there. The love scenes were very well written (and numerous for the length of the story, which is ok with me 🙂 I really enjoyed her writing style. Some of the phrases she used made me laugh.
It was a fun story and I enjoyed reading it. I give it a 3.75 out of 5
