Judith’s review of Never Tease a Wolf by L.A. Day.

A harem outfit and a flogger? Sounds like a party. That’s why Jenny chose them as the key ingredients in her plan of seduction. For two years she has worked for Damianos Alexander, but tonight at the costume party she’s determined to become more than his secretary. Tonight she’ll take that sexy male animal home—to her bed.

Damianos always gets what he wants, and he wants Jenny. She’s half naked, her body undulating in the movements of an ancient dance. Tempting every man in the room, including him. Too bad she doesn’t realize she’s tempting a wolf. Once she unleashes his feral side, there is no turning back.

This is another Ellora’s Cave “Quickie” which I have always thought of as “read while you’re eating your PBJS.” Once again we have an employer/employee scenario—a marketing executive and his secretary who have had the hots for each other for two years. Now they have secured a new account—a costume company who is supplying costumes for the big company party. Jenny has been in charge of the planning, not only for the party but for snagging her gorgeous boss. She has been taking belly dancing lessons for six months from the city’s foremost instructor, and now she is ready to spring her trap. Because of the company rules about staff relationships, Jenny has put her resignation on her boss’s desk. She has allowed no barrier nor left any issue unaddressed. She wants this guy!!

She is sort of surprised to learn that his feelings for her run just as deep, but he has another secret: he is a werewolf. And unbeknownst to Jenny, he declares her his mate – in Greek, of course, as he tells her how pleased he is with her premier performance. This is just an all-around cute story about the fun and games they have discovering their own personalities and the fact that they both love each other. It is fun to read and very erotic. There’s not too much more to say about the story without giving it all away. Suffice it to say that this is one of those highly entertaining pieces that will cause one to chuckle and will be a very nice literary interlude to a busy day.

I give this short story a 3.5 out of 5, only because it is not a full-length novel.
