Rowena: July was a slow going reading month for me. For some reason, I was not in the mood to read all that much. It was a busy month for my daughter as she traveled to several different places each and every single weekend in July for basketball so I guess I can blame that, maybe? I’m not even sure but I just really hope that August is a better reading month for me.

I read ten books. Hmm. Maybe not as bad a month in reading than I thought.
My favorite read of the month is probably Sincerely, Carter by Whitney Gracia Williams. It was a lovely friends to lovers story about two people who were made for each other. I thought Carter and Arizona’s story was so freaking good. I loved the way that their relationship was rooted in friendship first. All of that love stuff came way later and reading about how they were with each other before and after they became an item was a lot of fun. Honorable mentions go to P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han (which was adorable and I’m so Team Peter!) and The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West (which was another adorable contemporary YA romance that I enjoyed!).
My least favorite read of the month is probably Open Road Summer by Emery Lord. The main character in this book, Reagan got on my hot damn nerves throughout the whole book and even in the end, I didn’t necessarily like her. I really liked Matt Finch though but for a lot of the book, I wondered what in the world he saw in Reagan’s hot and cold ass. I didn’t include Forever for a Year by B.T. Gottfred in my least favorite read of the month because well, I didn’t get that far into the book before I was rolling my eyes down the street and calling it a wrap on that one.
Holly: I had a terrible reading month. I’m traveling and visiting family, plus I picked up a summer job that ended up being way more time-consuming than I expected. I managed to finish 6 books, but the majority were re-reads.

My favorite read of the month was Archangel’s Enigma. I’ve been dying to find out more about Nassir and Singh didn’t disappoint. I loved him. His heroine was pretty great, too. I adore this series.
My least favorite read was Night’s Surrender by Amanda Ashley. I didn’t dislike the book, I just read so few my options were limited.

I read 15 books in July. My favorite was The Other Side of Midnight, by Simone St. James. My least favorite was Robyn Carr’s A New Hope. I found it too predictable. If I win, I’d like Archangel’s Enigma. Thanks.

Least favorite is always challenging: I began Jennifer Marie Brissett’s Elysium which was nominated for the 2014 Philip K. Dick Award, but I gave up after some thirty or so pages. It has a lot of excellent reviews, but I don’t think I was in the mood for so challenging a story. Others might be interested in attempting it.

My favorite read of the month would have to be The Hotter You Burn by Gena Showalter! My least favorite is All the Ways to Ruin a Rogue by Sophie Jordan. I really didn’t like the hero in that one.

Not sure if I have a least favorite, but I really enjoyed Finding Master Right, by Sparrow Beckett.
I’ve read at least 10 books so far this month, and am going on holiday next week, so I’ll have time to read some more. My favorites so far are ‘A Wish Upon Jasmine’ by Laura Florand, two older books that are new to me – The Wild Marquis, by Miranda Neville and ‘Blitzing Emily’ by Julie Brannagh – and, for something totally different – ‘The HIstory of the Mongol Queens’ by Jack Weatherford. I’m not sure if I’ve got a least favorite. I’d love to win ‘Archangel’s Enigma’..
My favorite so far this month would be Chasing River my least, sadly I had a few, but it would be Bury Me. And I really love Tara Sivecs writing, it just wasn’t for me! I would absolutley love Sincerely, Carter in PB. Such a great book!! Thanks so much!
