Holly: April was another strange reading month for me. I read 22 books, but it didn’t feel like I read much at all. I went what felt like ages between books, so I have no idea how my number is so high. Weird.

As you can see, I did a lot of re-reading last month. Once again I blame Rowena. Not that I’m mad, since I love those books. My favorite read of the month was probably Whisper to Me by Christina Lee or Taken with You by Shannon Stacey, but I really enjoyed all the new books I read in April. Honorable mention goes to All Fired Up by Vivian Arend and Elle Kennedy. I had some problems with it, but it was such a cute, fun story I keep thinking about it.
I didn’t read any bad books this month. My least favorite read was probably The Bottom Line by Sandy James, but that isn’t saying much since I really liked it. I just liked it a bit less than the other books I read.
Rowena: Our re-read gloms is probably my fault but don’t act like you’re mad about it, Holly. I know better. 😛 I did a lot of re-reading in the month of April too and each book that held up for me so really, I’m not mad at all.
Here’s what I read in the month of April:
- Insurgent by Veronica Roth | 3.5 out of 5
- Something Wonderful by Judith McNaught | 4.75 out of 5
- Dare to Desire by Carly Phillips | 3.5 out of 5
- Fall from India Place by Samantha Young | 4 out of 5
- Before You Break by Christina Lee | 4.5 out of 5
- Kiss an Angel by Susan Elizabeth Phillips | 4.75 out of 5
- The Promise of Amazing by Robin Constantine | 3 out of 5
- Castles by Julie Garwood | 4.75 out of 5
- The Last Forever by Deb Caletti | 3 out of 5
- Smooth Talking Stranger by Lisa Kleypas | 4.75 out of 5
- Suddenly You by Lisa Kleypas | 4.5 out of 5
- Married by Morning by Lisa Kleypas | 4.75 out of 5
- How to Meet Boys by Catherine Clark | 2 out of 5
- Broken Hearts, Fences and Other Things to Mend by Katie Finn | 2 out of 5
- You Had Me at Hello by Mhairi McFarlane | 4.5 out of 5

- Camp Boyfriend by J.K. Rock | 2.5 out of 5
- Her Sexiest Mistake by Jill Shalvis | 3 out of 5

My favorite read from last month is probably Before You Break by Christina Lee. That was a fantastic read and the characters were great. I loved getting to know Quinn and I thought that Ella was a great heroine. Very strong and capable. My least favorite reads are tied between Broken Hearts, Fences and Other Things to Mend by Katie Finn and How to Meet Boys by Catherine Clark. Both books missed its mark with me and I just didn’t like them.
This month we’re giving away:
Before you Break by Christina Lee
