Rowena: February was a pretty good reading month for me. I was back on track from the abysmal reading month of January and I’m on my way to meeting my reading goals for the year. I only hope that I don’t fall into another reading slump, that will kill my chances of making 200 books read this year.
Here’s what I read last month:
- An Outlaw in Wonderland by Lori Austin (DNF)
- #Scandal by Sarah Ockler (4 out of 5)
- Perfect Together by Carly Phillips (4 out of 5)
- Seeking Her by Cora Carmack (2 out of 5)
- The F-It List by Julie Halpern (4 out of 5)
- Better off Friends by Elizabeth Eulberg (4.5 out of 5)
- It Happened One Wedding by Julie James (5 out of 5)
- Breathe, Annie, Breathe by Miranda Kenneally (4 out of 5)
- Pivot Point by Kasie West (4.5 out of 5)
- The Distance Between Us by Kasie West (4 out of 5)
- Do or Die by Suzanne Brockmann (3.5 out of 5)
- Split Second by Kasie West (4 out of 5)
- Lila and Ethan: Forever and Always (4 out of 5)
- Into the Deep by Samantha Young (4 out of 5)
- When the Duke was Wicked by Lorraine Heath (4.75 out of 5)
My favorite read of the month goes to It Happened One Wedding by Julie James because hands down, I loved it.
My least favorite read of the month goes to Seeking Her by Cora Carmack. It was my least favorite read, mostly because I didn’t feel like we needed this story. It’s nothing new or fresh so I was left feeling blah about it all.
Holly: I managed to read 13 books in February, but I have no idea how. I was in a bad funk the entire month.
- Air Bound by Christine Feehan (4.25 out of 5)
- Misunderstandings by Tiffany King (3.75 out of 5)
- Ghost Seer by Robin D. Owens (3.75 out of 5)
- Hard as You Can by Laura Kaye (3 out of 5)
- All for You by Jessica Scott (4 out of 5)
- Knock Out by Michele Mannon (3.5 out of 5)
- Rock the Beat by Michelle A. Valentine (3.25 out of 5)
- Finding Cinderella by Colleen Hoover (4.5 out of 5)
- Shattered Ink by Laura Wright (3 out of 5)
- First Ink by Laura Wright (3 out of 5)
- Fresh Temptation by Austin Reeni (2 out of 5)
- Werewolf Love Story by H.T. Night (2 out of 5)
- Sweet Dreams by Kristen Ashley (re-read) (4 out of 5)
My favorite reads of the month were Air Bound by Christine Feehan and Finding Cinderella by Colleen Hoover. Air Bound is a continuation of Feehan’s Sea Haven series. I really loved the first book but didn’t care much for the second. I’m really glad to report this one rocked. Finding Cinderella is a free download that caught my attention when a Twitter conversation prompted the publisher to put it out in print. I admit it was a really fabulous story. I believe it’s still free to download. If you haven’t already, I’d suggest you read it.
My least favorite read was Fresh Temptation by Austin Reeni. There were a ton of editing issues and I didn’t care for either main character. I’m not even sure why I finished reading it. Werewolf Love Story also lands on the least favorite list. It also had editing errors, but more the story was disjointed and a bit silly.
This month we’re giving away:
All for You by Jessica Scott (digital copy only)
It Happened One Wedding by Julie James (digital copy pre-order)
If you want to be entered to win, leave a comment on this post telling us what your favorite – and least favorite – reads of the month were. Also, be sure to tell us what book you’re interested in reading. You can put your name in for more than one book, but you’ll only be allowed to win one, so choose wisely.
So…what was your favorite read of the month? And your least favorite?
I think the favorite book I read in the month of February is ONCE UPON A TOWER by Eloisa James. I loved it! I’m catching up on my historicals as I feel like I’ve been focusing more on contemporary romance lately. My least favorite book was FORTY 2 DAYS by Georgia Le Carre. Didn’t care for it. At all.
I would love to win Julie James’s new book. I’ve heard such great things about it.
Thanks so much for the giveaway!
I had several good February reads – The Wedding Bees by Sarah Kate Lynch and At The River’s Edge by Mariah Stewart top my list. I also really enjoyed Blitzing Emily and Rushing Amy by Julie Brannagh. I kind of disappointed in The Chance by Robyn Carr. It didn’t seem up to her usual standards. Meh IMO.
I would love to read Julie James Once Upon A Wedding – and thanks for the opportunity.
I went on a Jennifer Crusie binge, Bet me, Manhunting, Getting Rid of Bradley, What the Lady Want, Charlie All Night, etc. Bet me is still my favorite with Manhunting a close 2nd. Because of this, I didn’t have a least favorite. 🙂
I would love the new Julie James!
Thanks!
My favorite book for February was probably Archer’s Voice. It was just very sweet and well-written. My least favorite was probably Dream Bride from Susan Mallery. It just didn’t work for me.
I can’t wait to read It Happened One Wedding! I love Julie James! Thanks for the giveaway!
I read 16 books in February, without any duds. So far in March, I’ve already read three books I’ve liked less than everything I read last month! The most disappointing February read was Live, by Mary Ann Burns. After The Story Guy, I had really high expectations. Live was okay, but not the spectacular follow-up I was hoping for. My favorite read of the month was Romancing the Duke, by Tessa Dare.
If I win, I’d like a copy of the new Julie James book (first choice) or the Jessica Scott book. I plan to read them both. Thanks!
Didn’t read that many books; liked and didn’t like parts of take a chance by Abbi Glines
Would pick It Happened One Wedding
I read 18 books in February and I can say that the most enjoyable book was Making Faces by Amy Harmon. The most disappointing was book 6 of Night Huntress series.
I would love the book It Happened One Wedding by Julie James, it’s a long time until May
I’ve been in a reading slump lately, so I’ve been rereading old favorites this month, like Julie Garwood historicals, Nalini Singh, and Kresley Cole.
I’d love to win Julie James’ book. I know one of her books would definitely snap me out of my reading slump!
My favorite book this month is one I’m re-reading: That Scandalous Summer by Meredith Duran. My most disappointing read this month is Romancing the Duke by Tessa Dare.
I would like to win It Happened One Wedding by Julie James.
I had a computer crash so I can’t remember everything I read in February, but of the ones I do have logged, Shadowboxer by Cari Quinn was my favorite book. I think I had a couple of stinkers also, but I because I lost my log can’t remember them (I guess that’s just as well, LOL). I’ve already got the Jessica Scott book, so I would absolutely love to win It Happened One Wedding. Julie James is one of my favorite contemporary romance authors.
In February I read 12 books. My favorite was “Lost Lake” by Sarah Addison Allen. I’ve also been re-reading (ya gotta love visiting with old friends) and my favorite for that was “Mr. Perfect” by Linda Howard.
I’m very much looking forward to the new Julie James book, but would appreciate either.
Thank you for both your reviews and this opportunity 🙂
My favorite was Staking His Claim by Tessa Bailey and my least favorite was Down on Her Knees by Christine Bell.
Please enter me for It Happened One Wedding by Julie James.
My favorite read this month was ‘Take Mum Out’ by Fiona Gibson, hilarious book! Least favorite would probably be ‘The Accident’ by C. Taylor. Not saying the book was bad, just really not my cup of tea. Please enter me for It Happened One Wedding by Julie James and thanks for the chance!
Favorite book Bound Lorelei James Least Married for Christmas Noelle Adams. I love Julie and can’t wait for this one.
My favorite book this month was Jaci Burton’s “Hope Flames.” Least favorite was Cindi Myers’ “Rocky Mountain Rescue.” I would love to win Julie James’ “It Happened One Wedding.”
My favourite books this month has been The Chocolate Kiss by Laura Florand. My least favourite was Night Owl by M. Pierce, I didn’t care for it at all. I would definitely love Julie James new book 🙂
My favorite books(series) for February was hands down Monica Murphy’s One Week Girlfriend &Second Chance Boyfriend. ABSOLUTELY LOVED!!!!!! Least favorite Elizabeth Boyle’s If Wishes Were Earls. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a copy of Julie James’s book.
My favorite this month is Shannon Stacey Taken With You. I don’t have a least favorite this month. I would love to win Julie James newest!
