Colleen Gleason, author of the wildly popular Gardella Vampire Chronicles, is currently doing a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis. The other day while blog hopping I came across a post she did titled:
I honestly don’t know much about CF. Never really thought about it, actually. But that post really touched me. I immediately sent it to Casee and Rowena and said, “We need to blog about this.” After reading the post, they agreed, but we also decided we should do something more than just blog about it.
After some discussion, we decided we could help spread the word. So that’s what we’re doing. Colleen set her personal goal at $1000 and she’s pretty close to that mark now. At last count she was at $890. I think that’s fabulous, but I think with our help, she can meet her goal – and perhaps even exceed it. (UPDATE BELOW!)
Here’s the deal: We’ve put together a grab bag full of books – 17 in all – that we’re going to give away to one lucky winner. All you have to do to be entered is post about this contest and Colleen’s fundraiser on your blog, website, MySpace, Facebook or Twitter account encouraging your readers to donate, and leave a link for us in the comments section. The more places you talk about the fundraiser contest, the more times we’ll enter your name. So if you mention it on MySpace and on Facebook, your name will be thrown in twice. Make sure you include a link to the donation page!
The grab bag will include recently released novels from Elizabeth Boyle, Diane Mott Davidson, Jodi Picoult, Sabrina Jeffries, Melody Thomas, Victoria Alexander and many, many more.
If you want a chance to win, have your entries in by Friday, September 19.
Let’s help Colleen reach her goal!

Update: Colleen has now met her $1,000 personal goal, but is still short her $3,000 team goal. Let’s help her meet it!!
Also, she has graciously offered a secondary prize! One winner will receive the grab bag of books we’re offering and a second winner has the option of:
Three books of the winner’s choice: any combination of the four Gardellas that are out now, and/or Master and Unmasqued by Colleen’s friend Colette Gale.
All winners choice and all signed! How cool is that?
Don’t forget, all you have to do to enter is post about this fundraiser and contest on your own blog/website/Facebook/Twitter/MySpace with a link to the donation page encouraging your readers to donate, then leave us a link.
I posted ~ twitter, and on my blog.

Well done, ladies. Thanks for reminding us that books are about more than personal entertainment.
Thanks so much Dev, good luck sweetie!
This is amazing. The fight against CF hits very close to home. Last year one of my good friends passed away from complications from CF only 3 months after his sister also passed away from issues with CF. They were 27 and 29 respectively. They both had so much to live for.
I think this is an amazing endeavor.
WOW you gals!!! Thank you so much. I can’t believe the support I’ve received through the blogosphere for this. Thank you again.
I’d be happy to toss in a book or two or three for your prize…or a second place prize, or whatever.
Contact me by email and we can firm that up!
Thanks again. Pirate Boy and I really thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

M,
This is one of the many reasons we love the romance community. Banding together to help each other out, it’s what we’re about.
Mollie,
I remember getting teary eyed reading your posts about your friend that passed away not too long ago. Hugs sweetie!
Wonderful thing you all are doing! I just twittered it, my account name is bookroomreviews and I will post on my blog and come back with the link tomorrow.
Best,
