It’s no secret that we’re huge fans of Jill Shalvis around these parts. She writes the kind of contemporary romances that keep us in fits of giggles and lusting after the super sexy heroes so of course we’re more than a little excited that she’s got a new book coming out called, Animal Magnetism and we think you should mark your calendars because February 1, 2011, you’ll be able to grab this book for yourselves.
Check out the blurb:
Co-owner of the town’s only kennel, Lilah Young has lived in Sunshine, Idaho, all her life. Pilot-for-hire Brady Miller is just passing through. But he soon has Lilah abandoning her instincts and giving in to a primal desire.
It’s Brady’s nature to resist being tied down, but there’s something about Lilah and her menagerie that keeps him coming back for more.
Woot! I’ve already read and enjoyed the book so I know that fans of Shalvis’ work and contemporary lovers will enjoy this book. It’s also got a lot of goodness for the animal lovers out there, you won’t want to miss out so mark your calendars!
This book is available from Berkley. You can pre-order it here or here in e-format.
Looking forward to this one! I can’t even resist the cover…a sexy guy with a sad puppy!
I’ve been reading such good reviews of her books, but I don’t know where to start. Which one do you girls recommend?
@AnimeGirl – do you read category romances? If you want a taste of Shalvis I’d recommend The Firefighters of Station 5 Blaze series.
If you’re willing to jump in with a full-length novel, I’d recommend the Wilder series (Instant Attraction is the first book). They’re lovely.
But really, you can’t go wrong with a Shalvis.
Cannot wait for this one!!
@AnimeGirl- I second Holly’s rec for the Wilder series. Simply Irresistible is also one of my favorites.
Again, you can’t go wrong with anything from Jill Shalvis.
@AnimeGirl–My first Jill Shalvis books were ‘White Heat’ (2004), ‘Blue Flame’ (2004) and ‘Seeing Red’ (2005) and I liked all 3 of them. If you go to her website http://www.jillshalvis.com, there is a complete list of all her books (and there are quite a few). She is a great CR writer.
I sooooo want to “mush” over that puppy, it is sooo cute with those sweet poor puppy eyes 😉 It shouldn’t be feeling to pitiful though getting held by that cutie
Aw, thanks so much for posting about my book!
@Jill Shalvis–Thank you so much for giving us such great books to post about!
