Monthly Reads: June 2012

Rowena: Lots of reading got done in June.   A lot of good books were read and I was a happy camper.

Here’s what I read in June.

My favorite reads for the month of June go to once again, Jill Shalvis with Forever and a Day. I thought I enjoyed At Last but I think I enjoyed Forever and a Day just a smidge more. I loved Josh and Grace’s story. It was so good. If you haven’t read it, you have much to look forward to. My other favorite read of the month goes to Take a Bow by Elizabeth Eulberg. I enjoyed the first two books that I read by Eulberg and was excited for this new release. I’m glad that I enjoyed it just as much, if not more than her other books. She’s a great YA author. My least favorite read of the month of June goes to Flirting in Italian by Lauren Henderson. It’s not that it was a bad book, I just didn’t enjoy it nearly as much as I enjoyed the other books that I read this month.

Holly: I only read 11 books in June. I continued my Briggs binge.

  1. All He Ever Needed by Shannon Stacey
  2. Negotiating Point by Adrienne Giordano
  3. Kilts and Kraken by Cindy Spencer Pape
  4. Pillow Talk by Maya Banks
  5. Slow Summer Kisses by Shannon Stacey
  6. Carina Presets: Volume 1
  7. Tucker’s Crossing by Marina Adiar
  8. River Marked by Patricia Briggs
  9. Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs
  10. Blade Song by J.C. Daniels
  11. Original Zin by Christie Ridgway

June was a really good month for me quality wise. My favorite reads were again the Briggs, but I also really enjoyed the Pape, Daniels and Stacey contemporaries. My least favorite read was Tucker’s Crossing. The premise was cute, but it wasn’t executed very well. The characters were wishy-washy and the writing inconsistent.

How was your June in reading?
