YARN is the Young Adult Review Network. They’re an online literary journal for YA literature and they’re looking for new submissions. So if you’ve got some original stories, poems or essays, they want to hear from you!
YARN has come a long way since they’ve opened their doors back in February of last year and they’ve interviewed lots of well known authors of the YA genre. They’ve interviewed the likes of Meg Cabot, Pete Hautman, Melinda Lo, Barry Lyga, Mitali Perkins, and Terra Elan McVoy, who also judged their summer Fan-Poetry Contest.
They’ve got a lot of things in the works and there’s a lot to be excited about. This fall, they’re going to launch a section on their website designated for teachers and it’ll be filled with lesson plans based on writing that’s been published on YARN. It was only natural for them to start this since YARN was founded by English teachers who know what they’re about!
So if you’re a lover of YA fiction (like I am) then stop on by their website at http://yareview.com and see what they have to offer. There are a lot of publication opportunities available so make sure you don’t miss out!
..and that’s your scoop!
Hey! this sounds great. I’m going to check it out! Thanks for putting it on my radar.
