From the fantastic author of The Lonely Hearts Club and Prom & Prejudice comes a story of all the drama and comedy of four friends who grow into themselves at a performing arts high school.
Emme, Sophie, Ethan, and Carter are seniors at a performing arts school, getting ready for their Senior Showcase recital, where the pressure is on to appeal to colleges, dance academies, and professionals in show business. For Sophie, a singer, it’s been great to be friends with Emme, who composes songs for her, and to date Carter, soap opera heartthrob who gets plenty of press coverage. Emme and Ethan have been in a band together through all four years of school, but wonder if they could be more than just friends and bandmates. Carter has been acting since he was a baby, and isn’t sure how to admit that he’d rather paint than perform. The Senior Showcase is going to make or break each of the four, in a funny, touching, spectacular finale that only Elizabeth Eulberg could perform.
I’ve read the other two books that Elizabeth Eulberg wrote and adored both of them. Elizabeth Eulberg has definitely become one of my go to authors for great contemporary YA books so I was more than a little excited to come across this little gem.
Performing Arts school reminds me of Victorious on Nickalodeon but that show is actually one of the shows that my daughter watches that I actually enjoy so I’m excited to dig right into this world that Eulberg has created for Ethan, Sophie, Emme and Carter. I can’t wait to see all of the pairings and the emotional drama that will go on throughout the book. This book has a release date of April 2012 (I can’t find a definite date anywhere) and though we’ve got a bit of a wait, I’m confident that Eulberg will deliver the goods once again so mark your calendars, we’re getting a new Elizabeth Eulberg book soon, woot!
..and that’s your scoop!
