Ancients Rising by Katie Reus: Toward the end of last year, dragons were all I was interested in. I so enjoyed this series. It’s kind of a dystopian paranormal, which is one of my favorites.
Inferno Rising by Abigail Owen: Yet another dragon shifter series that I absolutely adored.
Bailey Brothers by Claire Kingsley: Contemporaries weren’t really my thing in 2022, but I really enjoyed the Bailey Brothers.
Immortal Guardians by Dianne Duvall: Oh, this series. I was so happy when I found out how many books there were to read. I loved every single one of them.
Fallen Guardians by Georgia Lyn Hunter: Another new-to-me author, I really enjoyed getting to know this world.
Honorable Mentions: Dark Protectors by Rebecca Zanetti, Redemption Hills by A.L. Jackson, and Aldebarian Alliance by Dianne Duvall.
Holly
Immortal Guardians by Dianne Duvall: The Immortal Guardians series isn’t perfect, but it’s interesting and I really enjoyed the progression of the overall story-arc and the way the characters developed as the series went on.
Aldebarian Alliance by Dianne Duvall: This is a spinoff of the Immortal Guardians series, but actually the first series by Duvall that I read. I really loved it the first time, but I understood the nuances better after completing the IG series. I definitely recommend both.
Once Upon a Dukedom by Lorraine Heath: This is a spinoff of the Sin for all Seasons series and I was so happy when I realized Heath was writing it. I loved reading about the children of the disgraced duke and watching them find their way in their new reality.
Class 5 by Michelle Diener: Michelle Diener was a new author for me in 2022. I really liked the Class 5 series. Each book brought something new to the world, while the overall story-arc pulled me in. I’m hoping we see more in this world in the future.
The Firebird Chronicles by T.A. White: Tracy recommended this series to me. I’m only sorry it isn’t finished yet and I’m forced to wait. The world is rich and full of multifaceted characters. Plus, I really loved the way the romance developed over the course of the series. If you’re into kickass women, this is a great series for you.
As you know, Holly, I’m definitely a fan of the Class 5 series. I will have to give the Firebird Chronicles a try.
I loved the Bailey Brothers series too!
