My favorite book of the month was The Rogue King by Abigail Owen. She is a new-to-me author & I am enjoying the dragon world immensely. My least favorite book was Rough Ride by Kristen Ashley. It was a novella, but it still didn’t pack the same punch as a full-length novel.

Some of my favorite July reads were ~

    — Season’s Change (Trade Season Book 1) by Cait Nary
    — reread of the Touchstone series by Andrea K Höst.
    — reread The Curse of Chalion by Lois McMaster Bujold.

My least favorites I abandoned rather than finish.

I actually didn’t have a favorite in July. I was disappointed in The Return of the Duke by Lorraine Heath. The book started off well, but it just didn’t work for me. The hero of the story suddenly abandons his anger issues by falling instantly in love. The mystery didn’t really work either.

I read 14 books in July. My favorites were BOLD FORTUNE by M. M. Crane and LONG WINTER/SIGNS OF SPRING, a duet by Rachel Ember. I didn’t read any books that I disliked.

My reading and memory really suffered last month thanks to a bout with covid. I got caught up with Avery Flynn’s books based in Harbor City – The Last to Fall series, a couple Hartigans books, and Loudmouth. I did enjoy Lorrraine Heath’s The Return of the Duke, and Anna Harrington’s Remarkable Rouge at the end of the month.

I liked When She Dreams by Amanda Quick and the Graphic Audio version of One Clean Sweep by Ilona Andrews
