Rowena: April was a fantastic reading month for me. I read so many books, enjoyed many of the books that I read and the lowest grade that I gave a book was a 3. So you won’t hear me complaining about my reading this month.
Here’s what I read in the month that was April:
Natural Born Angel by Scott Speer (4 out of 5)
Headed for Trouble by Suzanne Brockmann (3 out of 5)
How Zoe Made All of Her Dreams (Mostly) Come True by Sarah Strohmeyer (4 out of 5)
Scandal in Spring by Lisa Kleypas (4.75 out of 5)
You Are Here by Jennifer E. Smith (3 out of 5)
On Dublin Street by Samantha Young (4.5 out of 5)
Beauty and the Blacksmith by Tessa Dare (4 out of 5)
Down London Road by Samantha Young (4.75 out of 5)
The Secret of Ella and Micha by Jessica Sorenson (4.75 out of 5)
The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden by Jessica Sorenson (5 out of 5)
Any Duchess Will Do by Tessa Dare (4 out of 5)
The Forever of Ella and Micha by Jessica Sorenson (4 out of 5)
The Boyfriend App by Katie Sise (3.75 out of 5)
Lord of Wicked Intentions by Lorraine Heath (4.5 out of 5)
How My Summer Went Up in Flames by Jennifer Salvato Doktorski (3 out of 5)
Until Fountain Bridge by Samantha Young (4 out of 5)
My favorite read of the month goes to Down London Road by Samantha Young. Goodness that book was good. I really loved Jo, Cole and Cam. Jo’s story, seeing her come into her own and falling in love with Cam, man it was such a great story that I was sad when I finished it. If you haven’t read that book, I highly recommend it.
My least favorite book of the month goes to You Are Here by Jennifer E. Smith. It’s not that the book was bad, it was just the book that I enjoyed the least of the books read in April. It was a solid story, just not my favorite.
Holly: I read 15 books this month. I started out the month in an awful funk where I could barely even re-read. Thankfully my reading picked up toward the end of the month. Too bad the quality took a dive.
Dane by Liliana Hart 1/5
Away from the Spotlight by Tamara Carlisle 1/5
Undeclared by Jen Frederick 3/5
The French Maid by Sabrina Jeffries 3.5/5
Rush Me by Allison Parr 3.75/5
Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire 1/5
Zola’s Pride by Moira Rogers 3.5/5
Down London Road by Samantha Young (re-read) 4.5/5
Drawn Together by Lauren Dane (re-read) 4.75/5
Kinked by Thea Harrison (re-read) 5/5
Own the Wind by Kristen Ashley (re-read) 4/5
Games of the Heart by Kristen Ashley (re-read) 3.75/5
Hunting Ground by Patricia Briggs (re-read) 4.5/5
Survivor in Death by J.D. Robb (re-read) 4/5
Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James (re-read) 4/5
My favorite new read of the month was probably Rush Me by Allison Parr. I didn’t love everything about the story (the heroine drove me bonkers at times, as did the hero) but in the end it was a very enjoyable read. I finished the book smiling. My favorite re-reads of the month were Drawn Together by Lauren Dane and Kinked by Thea Harrison. Both were amazing reads, which was unexpected since I didn’t love either of the heroine’s in previous books.
My least favorite reads of the month were Away from the Spotlight by Tamara Carlisle (that book was a hot mess) and Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire (another hot mess, a pointless one).
GIVEAWAY ALERT: This month we’re giving away:
Down London Road by Samantha Young
Rush Me by Allison Parr (e-book only – open to all)

So…what was your favorite read of the month? And your least favorite?
I read sooo many books this month that it is really hard to choose my favorite & least favorite. I will go with The Chocolate Rose by Laura Florand as my favorite. Laura’s books are very sensual & the alpha hero always has endearing insecurities. My least favorite would be Dream Nights With the CEO. Nothing wrong with it & I didn’t hate it, but I am not really into paranormal.
I did not have a great reading month for April 🙁 I only read 12 books. I guess my fav would have to be a tie between Midnight Blue-Light Special by Seanan McGuire and Winterblaze by Kristan Callihan. My least fav was Illicit by Opal Carew. I read some other books that I had really been looking forward to and was left feeling a bit meh and disappointed. Here’s hoping for better in May!
liked the Vincent Brothers by Abbi Glines
did not like the stillness of you by Julie Bale
would like to read Down London Road

I read not a bad book at all! I binged on Tessa Dare’s Spindle Cove series– LOVE! Tore into Shiloh Walker’s Wrecked– SWOON! And devoured Shannon Hale’s Austenland– HEART-FLUTTER! It was a lucky, lucky month for me reading wise! 🙂
I would love to be in the running for Down London Road!
I actually only read one book this week. Under the Dome by Stephen King. But since it was almost 1100 pages I don’t fee so bad.
Would love a copy of Down London Road!
My best book of the month was Love Irresistibly by Julie James. She continues to write great characters and witty dialogue. My least favorite book was Dangerous Refuge by Elizabeth Lowell. I haven’t liked her last 2 books.
I would like to be entered for a copy of Down London road.

My favorite story was The Chocolate Rose by Laura Florand. I don’t have a book that was my least favorite since I didn’t actually finish a couple of books that I didn’t care for. I am hoping they get better.
I would like to read both books in the giveaway.
