So happy to be at Book Binge today! I’m really excited to be talking about Shane & Jen’s all new Valentine’s Day short story ANYTHING FOR YOU.

Sometimes, characters won’t let you go. For whatever reason, Shane & Jen have insisted on wiggling their way back into my brain. Then again, I shouldn’t be surprised. They were the second novel I ever wrote and they simply would not stop until I go their story right.

I must have rewritten that first story a dozen times over the years as I was learning to take the words on the page and turn them into something readable.

The idea for writing their short story came to me in December when it was suggested that I write a short story for Valentine’s Day. For me, it takes a long time for a romance between a couple to be believable but when I thought about Shane & Jen, the romance was already there. It was simply a matter of finding a new challenge for them to overcome. And with them, they have lots of challenges they’re going to face over the course of their lives.

ANYTHING FOR YOU is a story about sacrifice for the one you love. And of course, any story with Shane & Jen will have Carponti, Shane’s smart mouthed sidekick. He’s quite possibly my favorite character.
