Rowena: September was a good reading month for me. I read a lot of books that I liked, old books that I loved and books that were so-so but it’s all good because considering the slump I’m in now, I’m just happy that I read as much as I did back then.
Here’s what I read in September.
- For Men Only by Sally Goldenbaum (4 out of 5)
- Copy That by Helenkay Dimon (4 out of 5)
- Finally Home by Helen Scott Taylor (2 out of 5)
- Butter by Erin Jade Lange (4 out of 5)
- The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbowsky (4 out of 5)
- Blaze of Winter by Elizabeth Barrett (2.5 out of 5)
- The Truth about Faking by Leigh T. Moore (3 out of 5)
- Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan (4 out of 5)
- Lord of Temptation by Lorraine Heath (4 out of 5)
- Kiss of the Highlander by Karen Marie Moning (mmp) (A)
- The Dark Highlander by Karen Marie Moning (mmp) (A)
- The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa (4 out of 5)
- Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill (3 out of 5)
- Risque Business by Helenkay Dimon (4 out of 5)
- Down to Business by Helenkay Dimon (4 out of 5)
- Hot Property by Tammara Larson (3 out of 5)
My favorite reads were probably my re-reads of the Karen Marie Moning books (Kiss of the Highlander, The Dark Highlander) that I did for my book club. It was so good to revisit my favorite characters from this series. I’d completely forgotten how much I loved me some MacKeltar twins and I’d forgotten how enjoyable Kiss of the Highlander was. My preferred twin has always been Dageus and he still is but I came to love Drustan a lot more than I remembered. My least favorite read goes to Finally Home by Helen Scott Taylor. It just didn’t work for me.
Holly: I’m dubbing September the month of re-reads. I need to work on reading more new releases and re-reading less. Probably. Someday.
- Dream Lake by Lisa Kleypas
- After the Night by Linda Howard (re-read)
- Tart by Linda Howard
- Sway By Linda Howard
- Rescue My Heart by Jill Shalvis
- Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs (re-read)
- Iron Kissed by Patricia Briggs (re-read)
- Bone Crossed by Patricia Briggs (re-read)
- Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs
- HeartMate by Robin D Owens (reread)
- Tears of the Renegade by Linda Howard (reread)
My favorite reads of the month were Tart and Dream Lake. Since all I really did was re-read, I didn’t have a least favorite.
How was your September in books? Do you even remember? LOL.
