I’m going to tell you a secret..I haven’t read this series yet. I know, I know! Early on I was opposed because I felt like she abandoned her Highlander series to write this one. I got over that, but still haven’t picked these up. I suppose now is a good time to start…?
Dani “Mega” O’Malley plays by her own set of rules — and in a world overrun by Dark Fae, her biggest rule is: Do what it takes to survive. Possessing rare talents and the all-powerful Sword of Light, Dani is more than equipped for the task. In fact, she’s one of the few humans who can defend themselves against the Unseelie. But now, amid the pandemonium, her greatest gifts have turned into serious liabilities. Dani’s ex–best friend, MacKayla Lane, wants her dead, the terrifying Unseelie princes have put a price on her head, and Inspector Jayne, the head of the police force, is after her sword and will stop at nothing to get it. What’s more, people are being mysteriously frozen to death all over the city, encased on the spot in sub-zero, icy tableaux.
When Dublin’s most seductive nightclub gets blanketed in hoarfrost, Dani finds herself at the mercy of Ryodan, the club’s ruthless, immortal owner. He needs her quick wit and exceptional skill to figure out what’s freezing Fae and humans dead in their tracks — and Ryodan will do anything to ensure her compliance.
Dodging bullets, fangs, and fists, Dani must strike treacherous bargains and make desperate alliances to save her beloved Dublin — before everything and everyone in it gets iced.

Oh my gosh. There are so many reasons! The number ONE being…BARRONS…oh yes. You should read it just for him. Also, you can now read most of them back to back instead of waiting, because they all end with cliffhangers. Oh! and they are really really really really good. I know. My descriptive powers are the stuff of legends 😉
I think you should read it because I also felt like you do re: abandonment. I didn’t start reading until the last book was out and devoured them. I kept thinking I wasn’t going to like them, but I was so wrong. I even have the urge to reread the series in anticipation of Iced.
I have not tried this author or series. But I would say it is good to try out new authors. It is interesting to read someone elses stories and get your imagination going. Love the cover. Thanks for the giveaway.

I was also feeling a little betrayed that she stopped the Highlander series. I waited until the series was over and they put the first one on sale. I couldn’t believe that I had waited so long. I am so glad that I waited though, because the cliffhangers are brutal so starting the series late turned out to be a blessing. I go back and forth on which series I like of hers the most, but the fever series is intense. I can’t wait to see where it is going now!
Even though I’ve heard good things, I’ve never read this author either. That’s a good cover for the new book.

The number one reason, hands down, is Barrons. He will capture from the beginning and not let go. Even better is that the main Fever books are already completed so you don’t have to suffer through the awesome but painful cliffhangers to find out what happens. This is BY FAR my most favorite book series EVER!
YOU MUST READ IT!!!! 🙂
You won’t believe you waited so long to start.
I think you should read it because I heard it’s good. I’ve never read it either.

I really enjoy her books but think I actually enjoyed her highlander books more.
I was hesitant to start this series, but once I took the plunge I read every book within a week. Luckily it was my summer break and I didn’t start reading until the whole series was out. I was sucked into Mac’s world and felt every triumph and disappointment with her. These books were an emotional rollercoaster ride and I loved every minute of it. I may also have a wee bit of a crush on Barrons. 🙂

The Fever series is one of my favorite series ever! KMM creates this insane world that is just amazing to read. And like the others said, there’s BARRONS! He’s one of the hottest characters I have ever read! You have to read this book asap!

Thanks for a great giveaway! You should read this series cuz I want to! I haven’t yet… but I did finally get my hands on the Fever series… had to do some serious “if you were my friend, you’d lend them to me” whining 😉

BARRONS!!!!! He is the number one reason you should read this series!
The FEVER series is still the only Urban Fantasy series that I have read multiple times, and was the first one that I could actually get in to, and that is all because of how KMM writes it. You have to read it!
2 reasons…Barrons and Adam makes an appearance in the last book (albeit briefly…sigh…)
This is an amazing series, one of the best she has ever written.

Number one reason – Barrons!! So very hot and sexy, and mysterious.
It is an awesome series. Filled with great characters a fascinating storyline and well Barrons.

Well if you are going to start, you should definitely start with Fever series (not Iced).
I really love this series. The world building is really amazing and original, and I love Mac’s snarky humor.
I haven’t read the Highlander series yet, but they do eventually make some minor appearances in the later Fever books.
Thanks for doing this giveaway!

Well, I couldn’t tell you, because *I* haven’t read them yet! So you’re not alone! I will be starting this series soon, though. How can I not, hearing all these epic things about Barrons???? 😉
