As all of you know, we are huge fans of Jill Shalvis here at Book Binge and Jill has a new book coming out soon and she wanted to tell all of you lovely readers about it so she wrote you guys a letter.

Check it out:

Dear Readers,

Writing a romance called Animal Attraction, which centers around two people who had a hard time keeping their hands off each other, amused me. Jade Bennett is wound a little tight and likes things her way. But her heart’s in the right place, always. And, as it turns out, there’s a man who melts her like butter on a hot roll.

Her ruggedly sexy boss, Dell Connelly; veterinarian and, apparently, woman whisperer. How else can she explain the way she falls for his small ranching town, the grumpy stray kitten he gives her, and Dell himself? Jade’s used to planning everything in her life down to the very wire, but she didn’t plan on falling in love.

As for Dell, he’s not much for planning anything at all but there’s something about Jade that draws him right in. He’s never made much time for love, or anything close, but he’s thinking there’s always a first time… Writing Jade was an interesting challenge because Jade’s a spreadsheet girl and I’m so not. But then again, if Dell had come knocking, I’d have fallen hard and fast too, so maybe it wasn’t such a challenge after all. 

Hope you enjoy, and happy reading!

  4. When I think of the bosses I’ve had it makes me laugh to think of having a crush on them so my answer is definitely no.

  7. I’ve only had two male bosses that I can think of and I wasn’t remotely interested in either. My current boss is 22 years old than me.

When I was 18 I worked with a guy I had a crush on. I loved his accent. I think he knew, but just ignored it.

Nope no boss crushes for me. Of course I’ve spent most of my working career doing web and graphic design on a freelance basis from my home office sooo not much opportunity lol. I do have the occassional daydream of getting a sexy client though.

Never had a crush on a boss I worked for directly, but there were a few that made my heart zing for a little while.

I’ve never had a Romance Hero boss, but fair is fair – I’ve never been a Romance Heroine employee!

I do love Jill Shalvis’s books, though.

  16. Oh man, this takes me back–seriously back, as in fifteen, sixteen years back!

For a period of just over a year I worked for a guy I could barely stand–and the feeling was mutual, which makes it amazing that we lasted as long 😀 (as a boss and assistant, people!)

A few months into my sentence, he hired this other guy as his minion–but still above me, of course–and the second guy and I hit it on like a house on fire. He was funny, interesting, intelligent, younger than me…and married.

So the crush was extremely discreet, but enjoyable nonetheless.

It’s also the only time I crushed on a boss.
