Giveaway: Heating Up the Kitchen: Recipes with Love from Lucky Harbor by Jill Shalvis

Posted August 16, 2011 by Holly in Giveaways | 52 Comments

One of the things I loved best about The Sweetest Thing by Jill Shalvis were the recipes Tara, the heroine, created. Well, ok, I also loved Ford, Tara’s main squeeze, and the relationship between the sisters, and the small coastal town of Lucky Harbor, but the recipes were pretty killer too. When Jill said she was releasing an e-cookbook featuring Tara’s recipes, Heating up the Kichen: Recipes with Love from Lucky Harbor, I was all over it. I’ve already made more than half of these and let me tell you, they’re amazing.

When Jill asked if we’d like to giveaway a printed copy of Heating Up the Kitchen, I couldn’t say no. I’m sure it’s beautiful printed out (I have an e-copy) and I know not all of our readers are into e-books.

If you’d like a chance to win a printed copy of Heating Up the Kitchen by Jill Shalvis, leave a comment on this post telling us why you love the Lucky Harbor series. If you haven’t read it yet, tell us why you think you might want to.

Contest ends Wednesday, August 24 at 11:59pm. Please note: You must include a valid email address with your comment to be eligible.

If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the Lucky Harbor series. It’s fabulous.

  1. Oh I tried to buy it but the kindle version is not available to Canadians although I have bought tons of other Kindle books.

  2. I don’t think I’ve read any of this series but it looks good so I have to catch up. I have read and enjoyed Jill’s stories in the past so it’s definitely something I should look for.

I haven’t read this series yet, but it sounds like a lot of fun. Besides romance books, I love cookbooks, so this must be a fabulous combo.

I LOVE this series and cannot wait for Head Over Heels! I have shared the first two book of the series with all the women at my office. Love Love Love it!

  10. I love this series because of the three main characters- Maddie, Tara, and Chloe. They’re so real and so likable. Jill Shalvis explores the dynamic between the sisters so vividly. And, Shalvis delivers what I would consider her trademark wit and sexiness in each book. I can hardly wait for Head Over Heels!

  11. first of all, I think the series is great because it makes me laugh. 2nd, the romantic tension between the characters is awesome and when it finally hits a climax (no pun intended) it gets even better. Thanks for the giveaway.

I love this series and can’t wait for Head Over Heels. I have to say I loved the names of all the recipes and would love the cookbook but don’t really use an e-reader so a printed version would be awesome.

I ahven’t read any of the books in the series YET. But hey are on my TBB (to be bought) list. I love the covers, they are eye catching and to have the cookbook, would be fantastic. I am always looking for new recipes as recently being diagnosed with diabetes and I am sure there will be several in the book I could use.

I recently finished this series not that long ago. I read the two books while on my three week vacation in South Carolina. The reason why I liked the two were: they made me laugh (The Sweetest Thing alot more than Simply Irresistible) and the two books just made you feel REALLY good once you finished reading. Having five boys underfoot just didn’t seem to matter after that.

Tara’s recipes were awesome in the book so seeing she has a good book is awesome.
