Giveaway: Animal Magnetism by Jill Shalvis

Posted February 9, 2011 by Holly in Giveaways | 67 Comments

It’s no secret that we here at Book Binge love Jill Shalvis. There aren’t many authors out there writing good, straight-up contemporary romances, but Shalvis is a master. Animal Magnetism is the beginning of a new series for Jill, and we’re thrilled to be able to giveaway five (5) copies today.

Both Tracy and I adored the book. It’s a straight-forward love story and I think many readers will appreciate not only the main characters, but the secondary characters as well.

  1. Because I like Ms Shalvis writing?

Because I’m behind in reading her latest releases?

Because the puppy in the cover is totally adorable? (okay, and I’d have no objection to the guy if the face looks half as good as the back…)

    *ahem*

Because I’ve been intrigued by the plethora of reviews about it?

All of that and more, actually.

  2. I’ve heard good things about this book and I’m interested in reading it.

    And puppies!

Edit: and because I’m a moron

Ok, Have to admit, the puppy caught my attention first, but my curiosity was aroused by your comments. I don’t think I’ve ever read Jill Shalvis.
I guess even if I don’t win I may have to go buy this.

  11. I haven’t read any of Jill’s books, but I’d love to start with this one. Plus, a good friend of mine is a vet and I love stories where one of the lead characters is in that profession.

  16. I discovered Jill’s Wilder brothers last year when my library had the first and third books in the series. After hunting used book stores I finally found a copy of the second book on eBay! I finished it the day I received it then donated to my library so others could read the entire series with no wait. I would love to read this book, thanks.

  17. 1) Cute puppy! 2) I love a good contemporary romance 3) I’ve never read Jill Shalvis and I would love to.

I guess my reasons would be the same as everyone elses :).

I’ve truly enjoyed the books by Ms. Shavis that I’ve had the oppurtunity to read – my favs have been her sports themes.

All the great reviews and comments I’ve heard has kept this at the top of my wishlist.

The cover did catch my eye as well. From the cute pup to the manly back, to the coloring.

  21. Well – I’m pretty sure this is just about the only Jill Shalvis book I haven’t read – other than a few backlist harlequins I’m working on acquiring. So it would only seem appropriate that this would join the stash!

  22. Both looks and sounds like a really great book, but what’s not to like about a Jill Shalvis book? Have won very little in my life but would like to get my name in “the pot” for this one. In any event, I’m going to have to get this one for sure!

  23. I have never heard of, let alone read Jill Shalvis. But… I am always on the lookout for a new author to love!

Winning this book would be an excellent way for me to read Ms. Shalvis’ work and have a “new” favorite author.

    Thanks

  24. I have never been disappointed in a Jill Shalvis book, and this one sounds like another winner. And of course, the cover is irresistible. How can any woman be expected to resist a hunky man AND a cute little puppy?! 🙂

  25. I’d like to get this book because I’ve enjoyed all of Jill’s work that I’ve read and I have seen several reviews for this book and they were all really good. that many reviewers can’t be wrong.

WANT! SO bad. I can’t believe I haven’t bought it yet. I thought I had it preordered, but I was wrong. It happens occasionally (but don’t tell my guys!).

I adore her just this side of dingy heroines, who always manage to be the smart ones. I love her heroes, who always have just juvenile a sense of humor to remind me of my own hero.

  27. Her books have been on my wishlist for a while. And I really think I should start with this one. Especially with a cover like that.

  28. I would love to read this book. I’ve been hearing great reviews on it. Plus Jill Shalvis is a author I haven’t read yet but I’ve been wanting to read.

  29. I have all Jill Shalvis’ releases of the last 3 or 4 years. I love her books, her stories, her writing. I can’t wait to read this particular one. The cover has been out for some time and it’s quite hard to forget !! Thx for the giveaway.

I’d love to read more of her contemporaries; I read the Sky High Air trilogy and I still love the guy-tease about falling in love — “Have you fallen and you can’t get up?” Just perfect.

  31. I would love to get a copy. From what the official description and reviews say, I think I would really enjoy the story and it looks like a good start to her stories.
