In the world of Sheridan Wells, life is perfect when she’s decorating a cake. Unfortunately everything else is a complete mess: her mom ran off years ago, her dad is more interested in his restaurant, and the idea of a boyfriend is laughable. But Sheridan is convinced finding her mom will solve all her problems – only her dad’s about to get a cooking show in New York, which means her dream of a perfect family will be dashed.
Using just the right amount of romance, family drama, and cute boys, The Sweetest Thing will entice fans with its perfect mixture of girl-friendly ingredients.
I’m a huge fan of baking. I’m not the world’s best baker but I do enjoy doing it anyway. I also love stories that are centered around bakers or restaurant owners and the like because in my heart of hearts, I’m a foodie.
The blurb for this book has definitely sold me because of the drama factor is sure to be high and I’m a fan of excitement/drama happening in my books. A cooking show? Family drama? Yeah, sign me up! I look forward to reading this book and getting to know Sheridan. This book comes out on May 10, 2011 so mark your calendars, this book sounds so promising!

This one has been on my watch list for a while too! I love baking too (I’m not great at it but I love doing it anyway), and it just sounds like the kind of book I usually love.
Great pick!
Alex: I’m right there with you, I’m not the best baker but that doesn’t keep me from loving to bake. Same here, this book sounds like my kind of book so I’m anxious to read it!
