I love to sit at Barnes & Noble at a table by the window, with a hot chocolate in hand. I’d choose to read “The Shack” because it’s such a good book and spoke volumes to me the first time I read it. Thanks for the chance to win
My perfect reading day would be – listening to an audiobook while in the shower and getting dressed etc, then sitting down in my comfy chair to read a book – maybe an excellent series so that I could just keep reading – something like the Mercy Thompson series – and then later, if I felt like going for a walk, I could listen to my audiobook again for a while before going back to the comfy chair. All the while, slaves will bring me food and drink on request but otherwise not bug me! 🙂

an entire pot of tea and I’ve always wanted a window seat or old fashioned chaise to sit in. that would be the ideal. and then the day outside would be yucky. though I’ll read sun or rain.
will also retweet.
I think it would have to be very cold outside and I would need lots of comfy blankets and pillows. I would snuggle down in my little reading nest with a cup of hot tea that is bottomless and never gets cold. The phone would never ring and no one would knock at the door. I would read a very sexy gay BDSM novel with a big furry bear of a dom and an appreciative sub who needs some hurting! 🙂

My perfect reading day would be after everyone went to bed and the house would be completely quiet. I would curl up on the couch with a pillow and blanket, and my choice of books would have to be Lisa Kleypas’s “Dreaming of You” and Robyn Carr’s “Virgin River”.

Any day is a good reading day! I love reading in the winter with the sun shining in on you. I have a few old favorites but always on the search for a new old favorite.
Perfect reading day…wake up with a cup of coffee, curled up in a chair, in the morning. The afternoon would be sitting outside in a nice comfy chair with the sun on you (I live in AZ!)reading a great book and the evening would be more of the same as the morning…except with a glass of wine instead of coffee!
My perfect reading day . . . hmmm . . . I love to read on a rainy/gloomy day all cuddled up with the dogs and cat reading any Phyllis Whitney book (although preferably Hunter’s Green) with some hot cocoa or hot apple cider.
My perfect reading day would start with hubby cleaning up the breakfast dishes so I could head to the gym with an audio book. After a shower, I’d head to the salon for a pedi with my e-reader loaded with a great romantic suspense like an Allison Brennan or Cynthia Eden book. Then I’d head home and prop up my feet on the couch (to let the polish dry) while I read some more.
After dinner out with hubby, I’d finish the book while he slept beside me. Perfect reading day.
Anyday would be a perfect day to read. As long as it’s at home, at the sofa, or my room with Hot chocolate or a cup of tea
I would choose The Help by Ktathrine Stocket

My perfect reading day would involve a cabin in a snowy woods (where I’m in the middle of a holiday), a fireplace, big comfy chair, and an endless (magical) supply of Starbucks Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate. As for the book – I’ve been craving some uninterrupted time to finish Elizabeth Kostova’s ‘The Swan Thieves.’
My perfect reading day involves cold weather of course. I’m curled up in my favorite armchair, a wool blanket on my laps, fire in the hearth, snow falling outside my window. I have a smockey mug of Lady Earl Grey tea on the small table beside me. A few sugar cookies are there too because reading can open your appetite just fine (and NO I’m not a GrandMa ! lol).
I have Lady Be Good by SEP in my hands because I love it and it’s one of the books I reach to when there is nothing new that tempts me and becasue the “sequel” of sort comes out in a few days. Revisiting loved characters is one of the pleasures I indulge with no shame….
This is no doubt my favorite reading day. And Oh I forgot !! The kids and my husband are visiting my in laws of course (who wants to stop every five minutes to deal with whatever concerns one of the 3 other in the family ;-).
Thanks for the awesome contest !!!
My perfect reading day would be a quiet Autumn or Winter afternoon. Nice cup of tea ready to be sipped and a Lauren Willig Pink Carnation book at hand, I’m up to The Seduction of the Crimson Rose. I just started this series and REALLY loving her writing style. I love this era.

Or on a deck under the sun with some fun YA summer-themed lit.
My favorite reading day would be something like today. It’s snowing outside, everything is really quiet, I snuggle up in my favorite chair with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book. Today that’s going to be No Place To Run by Maya Banks.

Perfect Reading Day? After a good meal, a dark beer or coffee on the light table, snuggled up with my wife, jazz on in the background, and both of us reading.
My book of choice would be a good mystery.
Thanks!

The perfect reading day is when there is a slight chill to the air and it’s drizzling outside. I like to curl up under the blankets and escape…kinda like when I use my Calgon. I’d like to read Faith Hunter’s newest book, Blood Rock.
Wow, I made up that title in my last post. The book is Mercy Blade. Thanks for the entry into the contest.
My perfect day of reading would be a day where it was raining outside or snowing and not having to go out in it at all. Just staying curled up in my favorite recliner and reading totally undisturbed all day. (except for bathroom breaks—lol—for me and my dog Lucky)
My perfect reading day would be sitting on my screened in porch while a thunder storm rolls in off the bay. Of course this would be in summer time. With a glass of iced tea. I love the smells of the saltwater and the sound of the rain and thunder relaxes me. And here is my retweet I think http://twitter.com/#!/kaoticbliss

My perfect reading day is having the house to myself and sitting on my chaise lounge next to the open window with my ereader. It’s a nice sunny day with a cool breeze coming thru.
since winter is here, my perfect reading day is a day off work, a sunny day but with a light snow falling (pretty but not requiring a lot shoveling), some nice music on, curled up with a cozy blanket and the puppy girl, dinner delivered so no need to cook (and be diverted from reading any more than neccessary).
My perfect reading day is me curled up in bed with a mounit of books and chocolate to keep me company 🙂
snowing outside with nothing to do but curl up with a book by a new author.
My perfect reading day would be warm, sunny day on chaise lounge on the beach with a cabana boy serving me cool drinks while I read new releases by my favorite authors.
Awesome contest. I am so wanting a NookColor.
My perfect reading day is a snow day that shuts everything down, with a big fire in the fireplace, a big comforter on my couch and a great comfort read like Judith McNaught’s Kingdom of Dreams in my hands, with a glass of wine within arms reach!
My perfect reading day would be me off work. Hubby gone (he works midnights) the kidlets in school and daycare. Me curled on the coach with the TV on with Pride and Prejudice mini-series with Colin Firth (and no there are no other ones) as background. I’d have a blanket wrapped around me and a book in my hand.
What would I be reading. Depending on my mood. If it was sexy, some nice erotic romance. Hmm. The author would depend on how erotic, but let’s say Maya Banks or Lauren Dane.
It could be a comfortable e-read. Like Stephanie Perkins Anna and the French Kiss which is a new YA book I’ve read that has become a comfort read.
Or my all time favorite comfort read. Daniel’s Bride by Linda Lael Miller.
My perfect reading day would start by waking on my own – no alarm clocks allowed! On to the kitchen where a strong pot of coffee stands ready.
Since ShadowFever is coming up on the horizon, with coffee and danish at hand, I’d curl up with the first four books in the Fever series! ahhhh bliss…annhonATaolDOTcom
A good reading day would be grey, probably a little stormy, but not enough to cause the lights to go out. The to-do list would have been suspended for the day, not by my choice, so no guilt. A soft chair to curl up in and just the right height to rest my head would make it perfect.
I’m looking forward to Briggs’s _River Marked_ and Wilks’s _Blood Challenge_.
Thanks for hosting the Nook drawing!

My perfect reading day would see me dressed comfortably in old jeans and a t-shirt, snuggled deep in my den recliner near sunny windows. Can you imagine 30 tenth graders scattered around a classroom — some on the couch, some in their desks, some sprawled out on the floor — each engaged in reading a book of his or her choice? My perfect reading day is leaning back in my teacher chair, putting my feet on my desk (gasp), and reading a David Sedaris memoir on my new color Nook. Occasionally the students look at me with annoyance because of my unrestrained chortling (Sedaris can’t be read silently)…ah, if only I could postpone that dismissal bell…

Perfect reading day would be the hubby and kids off somewhere and me finally able to curl up on that couch we bought for the den a year ago with a plate of biscuits, a mug of hot chocolate, a nice warm blanky and a SEP/Rachel Gibson/Toni Blake/Jennifer Crusie book.
A girl can always dream.

I would love to be in a cabin in the mountains by a fireplace reading “the blessing of animals” or something by fannie flag..
My perfect reading day… It would start right here at home. I would get up, kiss and hug my wonderful husband, go make some hazelnut creme coffee (Ummm), feed our furry family members (2 dogs and 2 tripod cats)and then sit down to my PC. I would probably start out reading an ebook by Lora Leigh (The Breeds). During that time the cats would come in countless times demanding attention, and the dogs as well. I would take time out for some phone calls and more hugs and kisses from my hubby. Our son, would eventually make his way out of bed and he would tease me about reading again (though he is just as addicted to reading as I am). I would make all of us lunch and then let the dogs out again. Then, back to reading. I would of course take the time to do dishes, laundry and more phone calls. Oh yes…he come the cats again. LOL My day would continue basically just like this. By the time evening got here, I would switch to hot cocoa (with marshmallows of course). I would be sitting on my recliner with all my furry kids and reading a book by Jennifer Haymore. This may not seem like a perfect day to a lot of people, but it is my day. Everyday to me is perfect. I have the Love of a wonderful man. The love and respect of my wonderful children (all grown) and of course we can’t forget our adoring furry family members. I hope everyone has perfect days ahead.

Honestly…I would be curled up on the couch in front of my fireplace. I would start off my day with Maya Banks Sweet series. My perfect reading spot would be in my home library (which I don’t have yet) in front of the warm fireplace. I would be sitting in the biggest most comfy chair that swallows you up, with a blanket, hot cocoa and warm cookies. The lighting would be just bright enough to read without being to bright to break the ambience. I would read my favorites along with a few new novels, mostly consisting of romance and women’s fiction. If I could have a pedicure at the same time by a queit almost non existant person, it would be perfect!!

It’s really hard for me to choose a perfect reading day. It would depend on my mood and the weather.
A perfect reading day during the summer would be when I could layout in the sun or sit in a chair on my front porch and read in the natural sunlight.
In the spring it would be sitting on the porch while it’s raining/drizzling outside. I love the smell of rain.
During the winter would have to be curled up near a fire(or heatvent).
And the fall would be the same as the summer (sitting outside amung the colorful leaves).
And the book would be the same way. I would most likely be reading Elizabeth’s Wolf by Lora Leigh, The Bride by Julie Garwood, Beast Behaving badly by Shelly Laurenston or Iron Kissed by Patricia Briggs.

My perfect day of reading….having the house to myself I would start a fire in the fireplace, grab a glass of wine, and snuggle in to the couch. My perfect day would be sunny, not a cloud in the sky. I’d be sitting by a peaceful lake with no one around to bother me while I read JR Ward’s Lover Mine and cry over all the heartfelt highly emotional scenes.

My perfect reading would be curled up with my blanket on the bed or sofa, with no phone calls, chores, etc :). I’d mix it up between ebooks and prints – love Samhain and Wild Rose for epubs. For prints I’d have to say a Nora Roberts contemporary, a historical romance, and a paranormal romance. I can read several a day and would be in heaven :).
Happy Holidays to everyone at Book Binge. Thanks so much for the great reviews, interviews, and giveaways throughout the year. Looking forward to 2011 visits :)!

My perfect reading day would be curling up on the bed, with empty to-do list for that day except for reading. Of course, ice-cream, chocolate, tea are important for that day to be perfect!

A perfect reading day is anytime I send my boys to Grandma’s house for at least 48 hours. I can get my house cleaning done and have 46 hours to read in a quiet clean house without interruptions or demands. I am reading either a just released book by Nalini Singh or a comfort read by Nora Roberts or Jayne Ann Krentz. Perfect.

My perfect day of reading a day where I had nothing to do BUT read. My cat would somehow know this was a special day and refrain from attacking my feet and the meals would be delivered cost free just because it was my reading day.

My perfect reading day is the that day where i don’t have to do anything… not shopping, not going to work… Just read a really cute and fun book… Being curled up in my bed with a cup of coffee and my book.

My perfect reading day would be a day that involves crappy weather. Yep, crappy weather. The kind of weather that makes you want to snuggle up under the blanket, have a warm mug of cider or hot cocoa and dive into a world somewhere far from where you’re at.
I would probably choose Jude Devereaux’s new book. I’m a sucker for her books and some cheesy romance on a crappy day sounds fabulous!

My perfect day would be a day away from the kids…lol (no offense, but it’s nice to have a moment or two to yourself). I’d be reading Water for Elephants.

My perfect reading day will be February 8, 2011. I will be on the Carnival Freedom Cruise ship sailing to the Grand Caymens. I will be sitting on the adult only serenity deck reading Dominick Dunne’s “Too Much Money” which I have downloaded from the Free Library of Phildelphia. And I will take full advantage of the complete bar service provided by attentive waiters as I recline in the sun under a colorful, oversized umbrellas enjoying the drink of the day. And my battery will have a full charge so I can watch the waves and read, read, read. Good Luck to everyone entering and enjoy your perfect reading days!
My perfect reading day would be either on the roof my building on a cool day with a ice cold soda and my comfy deck chair without any phones or tvs to bother me. I would love to reread Memoirs of a Geisha again, totally uninterrupted. That story just draws me in every time and the imagery is so very vivid. I would love it!

The perfect day? A long, lazy, rainy one. Nothing to do and nothing you CAN do. Perfect for curling up with a soft blanket or stretching out in front of a fan. Either way, I’d make the day a sure bet with a known…like Robb’s In Death or something emotional from Shelby Reed.
My perfect reading day would be being able to slouch down as low as I wanted in a chair in the library and not having to worry about how heavy the books are! 😀
My perfect reading day…..would be a windy, rainy day. No kids or hubby and I would be reading the newest and last book in Karen Marie Moning’s Fever series. It will be so bittersweet to see how Mac’s story ends 🙂 🙁
perfect day for reading a book- drizzly outside, hubby has taken the kids off to Grandma’s house, a large pot of something hot and delicious – fresh ground coffee or a pot of PG tea, either heavily sugared- my cozy quilt my Nana made me in 1986 and my awesome couch.
A perfect day of reading is snuggled up in my reading chair next to a fire on a cold day.
My perfect reading day would involve being propped up by many many fluffy pillows in front of a roaring fire. I won’t have noticed the weather outside because I’ll be too immersed in reading my book!

A perfect reading day? I’m going to have to say it’s curling up with whatever is on top of my stack of books to read wherever I can get away from my toddler. In the past I would have demanded such things as good music, a fireplace, a cozy chair, a cup of coffee, or even a corner of an old library to claim as my own, but since the kid has been born I’ve lowered my expectations. A lack of interruptions would be just fine by me.
My perfect reading day is no technological devices or phones, curled up with my favorite heated throw blanket in my chaise lounger with an endless supply of books and tea or hot cocoa.
My perfect reading day is a Sunday morning curled up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate & “The Emperor’s Tomb” by Steve Berry

Perfect reading day:
My fiance would have a random day off (no weekends- too much to do!). He and I would snuggle up in bed with our 14 month old son, taking turns reading Dr. Seuss stories, then I’d take to the tub with a fun fantasy, like one of the Xanth series.

There are few moments of reading pleasure that stand out quite as much as the thrill of reading a non-assigned book during the wintery January term at my New England college, snuggled in the Berkshires. I remember settling in to a large, overstuffed chair in a student center that also had a coffee bar, so a full day could be spent with the quiet hum of people around you, muffled a bit by the knowledge of falling snow outside the warmth of the room. To have the luxury of reading anything I chose and simply enjoying the day… well, it’s an experience I strive to recreate as often as possible (though never often enough). I may never be a college student sneaking a pleasure read in to my busy schedule, but I’ll always have the knowledge of snow in the Berkshires and endless cups of hot chocolate while I read myself in to a multitude of stories. An ideal read for a situation like that would be a great college mystery — like Donna Tartt’s The Secret History.
My perfect reading day is a cold wet rainy day when the family is all at home and I and my kidlet curl up on couch in front of fire place and we each read our favorite book. Mine rainy day read is anything by Anne Bishop Black Jewel trilogy. Kidlet’s would be anything Diary of a Wimpy Kid. 🙂

My perfect reading day begins in bed. I wake up, make tea, burrow back under the covers and read until I feel the need to move. The bulk of the day is spent curled up in my chair, covered in a blanket, beverage of choice by my side, classical movie soundtracks playing in the background, and book suiting my mood in hand.
The day ends back in bed, burrowed under the covers on my tummy, and I read until my eyes droop.
I envision this day occurring on a glorious fall day which lets me leave the windows open. More than likely, I would be reading a work of fiction (or a romance novel).
Prolly don’t have a shot in hell at winning this but have to try for my kiddo who wants one of these worse than anything.
I Tweeted about it under @kerribookwriter too!
Let’s see…perfect reading condition would be any time when I can be in a hot bath or under warm covers and all alone. No screaming kids, no tiny fingers reaching under the door trying to get into the bathroom, and no hubby watching television in the same room.
Add to that a tasty beverage and some sweet treats and I’m in heaven!
Thanks for the opportunity.
Best,
Kerri

A perfect day of reading is any day that i can read a book! I love to read and anyday spent just reading a great book is perfect!
I mean if you want to throw in some babysitters or better yet a husband sitter. that would be nice too!
A perfect day of reading is curled up in my chair and a half with my feet up on the ottoman. I have to have a cup of something warm (coffe or tea, it doesn’t matter) and maybe a graham cracker or two. To be truly idyllic it would have to have the quiet of snow falling outside and incense burning nearby.
I’m either going to be rereading Nora Robert’s “The Search” or Shelly Laurenston’s “Beast Behaving Badly,” the former because its an awesome romance with dogs for fun and the latter because no one makes me laugh out loud harder than Blaynie!
My perfect reading day would be no husband or dogs in the house with me curled up under a blanket reading any of Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress series. Love and adore them. What better way than to spend a day with Bones.
My perfect day of reading is a cold, rainy day, curled up under comfy blankets. Book of choice is any kind romance.

A cold rainy day, fireplace ablaze, mug of hot apple cider and a giant bowl of popcorn at my side. Tchaikovsky is playing on the stereo. In my lap is my Sherlock Holmes anthology. Perfection.
First and foremost, the perfect Reading Day for me consists of an empty “To Do” list. Next comes a snow storm and a mug of hot cocoa. Then it’s flannel PJs, fuzzy slippers, and my fleece blanket. =)
Second scenario would be, once again, having an empty “To Do” list. It would be a warm summer day, accompanied by a slight breeze. Stretched out on a blanket in a deserted park with nothing but a lazy afternoon as far as the eye can see. =)
Perfect book would be anything by Judith McKnaught (Whitney, My Love is one of my all-time favorites!).

my perfect day is of course with my kids.
Perhaps a day out n the city, see a show with my 2 beautiful daughters and then go home and have some hot chocolate and cuddle up together to some kids books, storytime… that is why i LOVE the nook. It is color and i would totally introduce it into my childrens lives!

Perfect day of reading:
1. alone in the shade on a sunny beach
2. ipod in ears
3. stack of the newest books from Jill Shalvis, Nalini Singh, Christie Ridgeway, SEP and Lori Foster, Jaci Burton nearby.
4. Constant bar service and massages as needed from guy on Jaci Burton’s new cover.

My perfect reading day would be:
A cold rainy day in December-love the holidays, weather it’s my favorite month, relaxing on my balcony snuggled up on the swing bench with a blanket, hearing the rain drop, enjoying my favorite coffee- a gingerbread latté reading a book that never gets old to me, Pride and Prejudice. I love the story, especially Mr. Darcy 😉
That’s my perfect reading day being that I’m a mother of two, got my hubby, work, school & everything so finding a chance to read in peace is hard lol I usually have to make time to get some quiet reading 🙂

My perfect day would have to be one in Winter since Summer in Australia is bloody hot. I’d be crashed out on the couch while my other half looks after our little one. I’d be reading the very last book in Rachel Vincents Shifters series Alpha!!

So you guys want to know what MY favorite day reading would be like. Well, at this point in my life I am a stay at home mom with 2 very active boys and very active husband. So with that being said I think that my best fantasy day would be to have a very clean house, have my husband take the boys out for a guys day, then I would take out and actually light my expensive smelly candles and not have to worry about someone running past them to blow them out. Then I would have dress in my most wonderfully comfortable clothes grab my big soft comfy blanket take out the book that I have wanted to start for the past week, curl up on the couch and read my book from start to finish with no interruptions! But that’s just my fantasy and most dreamed of perfect day of reading!!!!!!

The perfect readying day is any and everyday. With a house full of kids, at work trying not to get caught, or at lunch with a friend.
The perfect reading day would be a complete day all to myself with my husband and children happily occupied elsewhere. On such a perfect day, I would dive into the first Outlander series book by Diana Gabaldon because it’s been sitting in my TBR pile for years!
I don’t have any kind of e-reader and would love one. The first books I would read would be The Prisoner of Zenda and Rupert of Hentzau by Anthony Hope. I read them as a teenager and would love to read them again. I am sure these only exist in e form.
My perfect reading day spending several hours in a tub full of hot water with a couple of candles, a cold Diet Coke, and a Rachel Caine novel. Weather Wardens, Morganville, Revivalist, any of her book series would be just the ticket. Kim Harrison’s Hollows books would also fit the bill.
The best reading time for me is on a rainy day. I like to sit in a windowseat with the sound of the rain in the background (unless thunder and lightning are included). I love reading many books repeatedly but my favorite book to read is The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley.
Snowy day, in a cabin, near a fireplace, reading Three Musketeers.
Colorado, lodge, oversized sofa chair ( with ottoman), in front of fireplace, snowing outside, reading Lord of Rings.
My perfect reading day would be snuggled up in bed with my cats with good background music. I’d be reading Archangel’s Consort and have hot chocolate and cookies or brownies ready to go.

My perfect reading day would be a cold snowy day, snuggled up by a fire with a cup of tea. In this perfect senario, I’m also not at home so no laundry waiting and I’m alone. No hubby or kiddo to distract me. Ah, heaven.
I’m not picky. Snuggling under the covers with a good book and a cup of tea or flavored cappuccino on hand would be perfect.
