Casee: August was the best month of the summer for me. I couldn’t tell you why it was better than the previous months. I read some darn good books last month. My favorite book of the month was Play of Passion by Nalini Singh. It is my favorite book since Riley and Mercy’s book and now I absolutely cannot WAIT until Hawke’s book. I read a lot of paranormals this month. I guess that’s what’s drawing me these days. Twelve was my total for August.
1. Maybe This Time by Jennifer Crusie (4/5)
2. Edge of Desire by Rhyannon Byrd (3.75/5)
3. My Forbidden Desire by Carolyn Jewel (4.5/5)
4. Water Bound by Christine Feehan (4.5/5)
5. Body Heat by Brenda Novak (3.5/5)
6. Touch of Temptation by Rhyannon Byrd (4/5)

11. Love in the Afternoon by Lisa Kleypas (4.25/5)
12. Play of Passion by Nalini Singh (5/5)
Holly: August was a great month for me reading-wise. My kids were gone to their dad’s for a few weeks, and that really gave me a lot of added reading time.

17. Somewhere Along the Way by Jodi Thomas 4.75/5
18. Just for Kicks by Susan Andersen (re-read) 3.5/5
19. Skin Tight by Susan Andersen (re-read) 3.5/5
19 books – not too shabby. My favorite read of the month was Somewhere Along the Way by Jodi Thomas. I would have given it a 5/5 but it ended in a cliffhanger and the next book isn’t out for a year, so I deducted some points. Honorable mentions go to A Hellion in Her Bed by Sabrina Jeffries, The Heat is On by Jill Shalvis and Maybe This Time by Jennifer Crusie. My least favorite read was Do You Take This Cop by Beth Andrews. The hero and the heroine were both TSTL.
This month we’re giving away:
My Forbidden Desire by Carolyn Jewel
The Heat is On by Jill Shalvis

August was an extremely busy month for me and i really hardly had time to read. Just managed 5 books:
Visions in Death by JD robb; How to Catch An Heiress – was the last Julia Quinn book i had left to read and i really enjoyed it; Wicked Intentions by Elizabeth Hoyt – i am curious how the series will continue; Fade to Black by Leslie Parrish – I really enjoyed this book and immediately ordered the following two; Lady Isabella’s Scandalous Marriage – am really looking forward to Cam’s book.
So a few books but they were all good.
either book would be lovely though i would love to try Carolyn Jewel.

I had a very good August. Favorite is Megan Hart’s, SWITCH…loved the character study and realistic love story. Also enjoyed Elizabeth Hoyt’s, WICKED INTENTIONS. Least favorite was BROKEN by S. Walker…it’s probably me, I just couldn’t get into it..
Would like to win Shalvis’ book.
August was a good reading month for me, too, with 19 books read. My favorite was Anne Mallory’s Seven Secrets of Seduction. The least enjoyable was Janet Evanovich’s Troublemaker, a graphic novel take-off of her Metro novels. I’d like either of this month’s books, but I’d prefer the Shalvis if I win. Thanks.
I read 15 and listened to 5 in August.
Best read – Shades of Gray by Brooke McKinley. best Audio – Breathing Room by SEP, narrated by Kate Fleming (aka Anna Fields). Both A’s from me.
Least enjoyable read was Ex Appeal by Cari Quinn – I gave it a C-. It was kind of “meh” for me.
I’d love to read the new Jill Shalvis novel The Heat is On. Thx.
I read To Conquer Mr. Darcy by Abigail Reynolds last month and absolutely adored it!
I would love to win My Forbidden Desire by Carolyn Jewel 🙂
My favorite reads were “Money, Honey” by Susan Sey, “Wild Ride” by Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer, and “Brooklyn Knight” by C. J. Henderson (not strictly a romance).
My least favorite read was “The Next Best Thing” by Kristan Higgins because I felt so sorry for Ethan for loving such an idiot like Lucy for so long (aside from the former in-laws to lovers situation).
I would love to win “The Heat is On” by Jill Shalvis.

My favorite would have to be She’s Gone Country by Jane Porter. I don’t know what least favorite read was….but I want to read Play of Passion by Nalini Singh.
august was a crazy-busy month for me – had my fiance’s 40th birthday and his uncle’s 60th, among other things – so i didn’t do nearly as much reading as i normally get to do. however, i fell in lurve with robyn dehart’s seduce me – it was one of the best historical romances i’ve read in quite a while…

I’m reading Ravished by a highlander.peg360@hotmail.com
I only read two books in August. It was a very busy month for me. I read Till Dawn with the Devil by Alexandra Hawkins and Sex and the Single Earl by Vanessa Kelly. Both were excellent reads and would recommend them too friends. I have not read a bad book in a long time except I could not finish The Perils of Pleasure by Julie Anne Long It was not bad but it just was not my style I guess. I will finish it though someday! I can’t leave a book unfinished LOL! Jill Shalvis’ book The Heat is on looks good!
