  1. at 22 Im too lazy to take the final test lol But I drove a manual car for 2 yrs and then switched to automatic, all I really need to do is take the FINAL test to get a license but I’m one of the few people on this planet that don’t really care XD

  2. No driver’s ed in Australia. Have to do it all yourself.

But, I did pass on the first try. (Although the assessor was a bit worried that I drove too SLOWLY! Ha! If only he could see me now…) 🙂

  3. I didn’t have driver’s ed (I don’t think we even knew what is was in the middle of no-where Georgia). And I actually passed my driver’s test the first time, though I did run over the cone at least once.

  4. I had very little experience behind the wheel before starting driver’s ed, but I passed. However, it did take me two tries to pass the dirver’s license test. I was very nervous!

  5. Just once 🙂 I had a lot of practice driving our riding lawnmower and my lazy sister used to let me pull her car in and out of the driveway so I got the hang of the little stuff. I had a blast in drivers ed, my teacher was one of my softball coaches and I would always take his car through the drive through of Taco Bell

  6. I passed Driver’s Ed with an A the first time. Also, at my HS, if you had an A or B in the class, you could take the Driver’s Test with our teacher at school. I think I only got marked on a couple things and passed the first try. Taking the test with my teacher was great because when I went to the DMV all I had to do was bring in the paper, take my picture, and I was done. In and out in 10 minutes!

  7. I took my school’s behind the wheel class, so I didn’t have to take my driver’s test (thank god!) But I did have to do like 40 hours with a certified driving teacher. It was totally worth it!

I never got my driver’s license – it was a long time ago that I was a young girl and I did drive around fields and such – never on the roads – just never got around to getting a license and back then I don’t think they had study tests for it; I know they didnt teach it in school.

  9. I started school at 4 years old (this was back when the cut off in IL was Dec 1st, and I was November baby). So I had to take driver’s ed the summer before my junior year with lots of kids 1 year behind me in school. I passed with flying colors, so I got a “blue slip” which meant I didn’t have to take the driving test to get my license. I got that darn piece of paper in July, but had to wait til my b-day in November to actually get my license!
I have never taked a test at the DMV, my license has always been renewed without needing to (knock on wood!)

i’m showing my age!!! My Dad taught me to drive clutch! and I passed on the first try! Examiner wanted me to make a u-turn and I told him “NO! not allowed.” He said just do it and lets see how you can do it….

I dropped out of driver’s ed. The screen freaked me out and the possibility of it ever being useful to me seemed nil. (We had never had a car when I was growing up.) There were several half-hearted attempts to teach me, but I didn’t pull it off til I was around 30, with many, many permits under my belt. I screwed up one test, then got another appointment the day before my permit expired, and managed to pull it off! — willaful

Passed both written and driving tests first time. My Dad taught me how to drive, my mom took me for the test.

  13. Hello,

I passed both driver’s ed. and my driver’s test on the first go around. Although, my instructor thought I might not pass! I was able to prove him wrong. I do have fond memories of driving around in beat up cars with bad brakes, though.

  14. Took me twice on my drivers test because we actually had a wreck going to the drivers testing center a moron pulled out right in front of my mom and she couldn’t miss it. Nope I wasn’t driving lol. But that did put me off of wanting to get my license for a while after that. True story unfortunately lol.

It only took me one time to pass my drivers test. Am an elderly lady so there was wasn’t any prep courses available.

  16. Never had to take driver’s ed. We moved to another state after I had my permit so it wasn’t required.

I passed my driver’s test on the first go around. It was pretty easy.

  17. I didn’t have driver’s ed. I learned how to drive a standard driving around a field and down some little back roads. Passed my test first try.

  18. i passed Driver’s ed when i was 16 but did not get my license until I was 19 and finished my first year in college. I passed the first time just did not have any money for insurance.

  19. They didn’t have drivers ed when I was in school. I passed my written test and drivers test the first time but when I went to take the written test, I failed the eye test because their machine was out of focus and they admitted it but would not fix it and let me take it again. They said that I had to get a statement from my eye doctor.

  20. Our driver’s ed class was 1/2 written, in-class instruction and 1/2 behind the wheel. I passed the first part with flying colors and never took the second half–our year was the first year they started charging and mom just couldn’t afford it.

Finally got my license (on the first try) at age 21–two weeks before I started at a new college.

Never took drivers ed and it took me 3 times just to get my permit. I won’t say how many times it took to get my licence it’s embarrasing!

  22. Whoever could provide the most romantic electrifying stories than you do. Basing on the recent comments about this post, people have really been anticipating for the giveaway. The books are going to be as thrilling as much. Looking forward to the results of the promo.
