Following a dream brought Josie Keller to Shoshone, Wyoming. Following her heart brought her plenty of great sex with good-time cowboy Jack Chance! She was head over heels for him… until he left her.
Stay with one woman? Not a chance! Then why does Jack miss Josie like crazy? Had their relationship been more than just incredible sex?
Little do Josie and Jack know that a plan’s afoot to get them back in the saddle…together. And once there, it’s not long before they’re burning up the bedsheets again!
But the past is never far away. Before it catches up with them, Jack has to decide if he’s going to stake his claim on Josie, or lose her forever….
Ten months ago Jack Chance gave up a great relationship because he felt he didn’t deserve to be happy. Jack had been seeing Josie for 6 months and they were having a great time – their relationship was full of laughter, sex and fun. But when Jack’s dad died he felt that he owed his dad to leave the relationship and take over the ranch – something he had never wanted.
Now he’s had second, third and even fourth thoughts about Josie and he wants what they had back – but Josie’s having none of it…or is she? When Jack’s brother Gabe and his wife decide to get married on horseback and both Jack and Josie are in the wedding, Jack is put in charge of teaching Josie how to ride as Gabe and Jack’s stepmom, Sarah, feel that this is a good way to mend fences. They think that if Josie and Jack can get along while in the lessons that they’ll be able to get along during the wedding. What ends up as riding lessons soon turn to a good excuse for sex as Jack and Josie can’t keep their hands off of each other. But Josie’s not prepared to be hurt by Jack again.
This was a cute book. It was a pretty fast read and simple without a ton of complications. Yes, Josie and Jack had their issues but they were dealt with pretty easily. Actually that might have been one of the reasons this didn’t get a higher rating as I think they were dealt with too easily. Josie felt that Jack had put up walls around himself and this is something that he’d done for years but the kind of walls that he had built couldn’t have been torn down as quickly as they were. Rome wasn’t built in a day and it certainly couldn’t be destroyed in that time either.
Despite those issues it was a light, entertaining read. I tried to read another book by this author a while back and couldn’t get into it. But in this book I liked the authors style and her sense of humor so I will probably be reading more of her stuff, in fact, I think Holly lent me a few of her books a while back so I’ll have to check those out.
Rating: 3.5 out of 5
I received this book from the publisher for review.
I liked her Nerd series – light'n'fluffy'n'funny. 🙂
Chris – Those are the ones that Holly lent me, actually.
The Nerd Who Loved Me and Nerd is Shining Armor. Good to hear they're funny – I like funny. 🙂

Hope you had a great weekend!
Thank you Tracy. Lovely review. Is it weird that I don't think it's a me book?
Tracy, these easy reads have their time and place for me –sometimes that's all I'm in the mood for. I'll put it on my list for just such a time. 🙂
Thanks Cecile. Yes, sometimes you need the light and fluffy – at least I do. 🙂
Orannia – Not weird at all. Some books are not for everyone. 🙂
Hilcia – I agree. I have a bunch of categories that I keep for just those occasions when it's "their" time. 🙂
