Ames’ review of Talk Dirty to Me by Tory Richards.

Lilly has been in love with her brother’s best friend Blake for years. She lost her virginity to the oil driller on her eighteenth birthday, only to wake the next morning to find him gone. After he pulled that stunt twice more, she swore never to see or talk to him again. But now he’s back for her brother’s wedding, and he’s as irresistible as she remembers.

Blake thinks Lilly’s even sexier than ever. Unable to resist one another, they don’t make it out of the airport parking lot before taking up where they left off. As the two rediscover their passion for each other, nothing and nowhere is off-limits!

I wanted to read this one because of it’s fabulous cover….just kidding. *shudder*

No, the magic words in this book summary were “brother’s best friend.” I love love love this set up – falling for a sibling’s friend. Unfortunately, although this quickie was plenty hot, it left me feeling cold.

Ok, these two characters can get away with the fact that they love each other because they’ve known each other forever and they’re sex on a stick whenever they’re close to the other. Because other than that? Not much else going on. Lilly is a walking, gushing hormone whenever Blake is around and that’s basically all there is too this story. There really wasn’t any depth and the characters were just silly. Like really, you’re not going to take the time to change out of a wet tank top to pick someone up from the airport? Really?

If you want to read a hot story, then this one is for you. But it doesn’t have much else going for it.

2 out of 5.

  1. The cover is amazing! This book is totally worth buying just to have the cover on your bookshelf or as wallpaper for your computer screen. It might not be a deep read, but this does seem like a quick, fun read. Thanks for the visual!
