Back in the day, we used to post on the JGBB and we had a blast posting over there as well. We were silly and we made great friends and it was just a whole lot of fun. There was always plenty of topics that we would post on, quizzes we would take to test our JG knowledge or just random posts that would make us laugh.
While I was reminiscing through the archives of the JGBB, I came across a post that our friend Grace posted up a while ago (and when I say a while ago, I mean years ago) and it made me laugh out loud so I asked her if I could share it with you guys.
She did a post on why she’ll never find her own JG Hero and here were her reasons…
-My father is not a scottish laird who is the enemy of the almighty IAIN MAITLAND. Nor is my friend from childhood pregnant and wed to his brother. (but i wish she were, so i could meet my Iain.. *grin*)
-I wasnt seperated from my sister on a god-awful night where our home was invaded. I dont have an English Baron uncle, nor have i met Iain Maitlands son, Alec.
-I was not ordered by my English King to marry a Scottish Laird, who was also ordered by his King, in order to bring the two together.
-I did not propose to a man (three times!) when i was at a young age, in hopes of saving my papa the trouble of catching me a man.
-An English Baron has not kidnapped me as part of his vengence against my brother. And i probably would not have had the guts to warm a strangers feet. (sigh, but if i knew where id end up, thered be no hesitation! LOL)
-I have not recently become widowed and have need to remarry in order to protect myself. Nor has my brother suggested i marry his scottish friend, because as far as i know, he doesnt know anyone scottish! LOL
-I am not good with a sling shot, nor am i Saxon. I dont have a nephew and I also would not have been creative enough to protect myself from harm by pretending to be a nun.
-My grandmother has not arranged a grand plan to protect my nieces and i from my money hungry uncle by marrying a ruggedly handsome American Rancher.
-My father is NOT a KING, nor did my mother bury jewels in my grandfathers garden. I dont come from a village and i do not know how to ride bareback.
-I do not go by the name of Pagan, nor do i resemble anything of a pagan baby or have red hair and green eyes
-I was NOT married at the tender age of four or so in hopes of mending an old fued between two families.
-My next of kin or guardian is NOT a Duke, nor does he have a son who is willing to marry to protect me from a man who wants to marry me to secure the throne.
-I have not been seperated from my birth father for many years in hopes to protect me from his past. Nor am i summoned to his town house to have the season with the ton and i soo did not help out Beau Brummel in his time of need.
-I was not abandoned by someone and left in a NYC alleyway, to be found by four boys who swore to protect me with their life and bring me up as best they could.
-I did NOT witness a murder scene!
-My brother is not a hunky priest who is best friends with an even better looking guy who happens to work for the FBI
-I dont have a rich cousin who has left me money nor damning evidence against her husband. I havent been to a function where i wore a killer dress, nor have i had a gorgeous looking guy throw up all over me and then later on following me to my hometown just to go fishing and make it up to me(I could probably deal w/o the throwing up! LOL)
How clever is she? If you’re a regular reader of JG then I’m sure this brought a smile to your face. I’m with Grace, I’ll never find my own JG hero either.
Damn.
ROFL.
I’ll never find my JG hero either. Other than having a rich cousin, who so won’t be leaving me a penny, I’m totally un-heroine-ic. *sigh*
Sigh…;-)
Yes but every time I read one of her books I imagine that my husband is one of her heros.
LMAO! I’ll never have my own JG hero…in this life but I can dream for the next, ha!
