  1. I am so not ready for Christmas. I feel like my house is a mess and I have been running for weeks! I LOVE opening presents at midnight on Christmas morning!

  2. okay, this might seem like a weird one but I make lasagna for Christmas.
Christmas Eve is full of traditional hispanic dishes but on Xmas day, we have lasagna. Merry Christmas!!!

  3. My favorite Christmas traditions are to get together with my mom’s side of the family on Christmas Eve and to spend Christmas night getting together with my dad’s side.

I’m ready for Christmas because I’m finished with my Christmas presents and all my baking is finally finished.

My family always, no matter what, watches Christmas movies together. That’s our time 🙂

And yes, I’m finally ready for Christmas. Only, like, an hour ago LOL;-)

  5. My favorite is watching The Yule Log on tv all Christmas Eve night/morning. I love the cheesiness of watching the crackling fireplace on your tv screen–it’s so soothing really.

  6. my favorite xmas tradition is when my nieces and nephews come over and bake cookies and decorate them..we make such a mess, laughing at the funny decorating we can come up with.

    Merry Christmas

  7. My mom and I have a strange tradition. Every Christmas after we open presents in the morning we watch Jurassic Park. I know it’s a completely non-Christmasy movie but it kinda happened by accident that we watch it every Christmas. We didn’t even realize we were doing it for a few years and when we did we made it a tradition.

  8. don’t celebrate christmas (so i have a week extra to prepare for new years parties and such) so i love my family’s tradition of our new years party/reunion every year. it’s really nice to everyone again and catch up.

  9. My favorite Christmas tradition is a simple one, my family opens presents at midnight on Dec 24th so while we wait for the clock to strike we have coffee, cake and all sorts of goodies and just chat and catch up with one another.

I achieved being finished by drastically lowering my expectations. 🙂 I think it’s actually easier on my son, who is autistic, for us not to make such a huge deal out of Christmas. It stresses him out.

I wrote about our kiss jar on another blog, but another favorite tradition is watching “Blackadder’s Christmas Carol.” — willaful

  11. I love putting out the milk and cookies for Santa with my kids, and we always put out something for the reindeer. I’ll miss that when they’re older…

  12. Merry Christmas!

One of my sisters mixes up her special batch of reindeer food for the kids to sprinkle on the lawns every Christmas Eve. And she has to come every year no matter her plans with it, because only Aunt Wendy knows how to make it.

  13. We let the kids open their stockings only in the am – then we have a few minutes to get up and get the camera ready for the rest of the gifts. It’s awesome!
