Kris‘ review of Kiss Me Again by Dee Tenorio

An unforgettable man. Irresistible temptation. One last chance to get it right.

Magazine layout artist Kira Weston knows all about frustration. She wasted three years loving Ethan Roarke, a man who played her body like a fine instrument—but wouldn’t let her anywhere near his heart.

She doesn’t believe for a second that Ethan needs her to pretend they’ve reunited in order to deflect his boss’s carnal advances. Once Kira realizes he thinks she’s dating a gigolo, however, the urge to teach him a lesson is more than she can resist.

She only meant to torment him with seduction without fruition, but suddenly revenge is the last thing on her mind. This could the one chance she long dreamed of when they were together—to finally break down Ethan’s emotional walls.

Or get over him once and for all.

I really liked this story. It was not a story of a couple meeting and getting together, it was a story of a couple who has broken up but still is in love. They have lots of communication issues in their relationship. They have been apart for 6 months when Ethan calls Kira. He wants her help ostensibly as a fake fiance to get his boss off his butt (literally), but also tells her he wants her help and advice about starting his own business. Not completely true, but this brings them back together in the same room and they start talking.

I liked this story for its exploring an existing relationship. It is always fun to watch a couple get together but I think it is more interesting to watch that couple later when they hit speed bumps and yes they are physically compatible, but are they emotionally and intellectually compatible? This book explores the emotional side of it. He is extremely closed off emotionally and she would get frustrated with it, expecting him to be perfect and he was not.

Very good book, I loved it. I give it a:

4.5 out of 5
