Posted March 12, 2013 by Rowena in Reviews | 0 Comments

YA fans have come to love the heck out of Lauren Oliver’s Delirium trilogy.  I’ve been seeing it all over YA blogs, Twitter and Instagram.  The last book in the trilogy, Requiem has been released and if you think that’s where the party stops…then you might want to keep your party shoes out for a little while long because the story has been adapted for a television pilot, starring Emma Roberts.

In honor of the release of Requiem, Lauren Oliver shared her favorite literary love stories to Bookish.

Book Watch: Delirium by Lauren Oliver.

I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about this book and I’m not gonna lie, I’m more than a little curious to read this book for myself. Check out the blurb:

Ninety-five days, and then I’ll be safe. I wonder whether the procedure will hurt. I want to get it over with. It’s hard to be patient. It’s hard not to be afraid while I’m still uncured, though so far the deliria hasn’t touched me yet. Still, I worry. They say that in the old days, love drove people to madness. The deadliest of all deadly things: It kills you both when you have it and when you don’t.

Lauren Oliver astonished readers with her stunning debut, Before I Fall. In a starred review, Publishers Weekly called it “raw, emotional, and, at times, beautiful. An end as brave as it is heartbreaking.” Her much-awaited second novel fulfills her promise as an exceptionally talented and versatile writer.

Interesting much? Yeah, I know. I seriously want to read this book and see if I like it as much as everyone else did. This book comes out in a few weeks so mark your calendars, February 1, 2011. Get your pre-orders in!
