What happens on the road stays on the road in the latest New Adult novel from the author of Loud Is How I Love You.

Twenty-one-year-old Sonia Grant, a business major, has big plans for a career in the music industry. So when she’s offered the job of tour manager for her best friend’s band, she jumps at the chance for some real life experience. When her number one crush, bassist Cole McCormack, jumps her the first night on tour, she hopes she’s in for three weeks of some hot backstage action, too. But Cole turns out to have more up his sleeve than she or anyone realized.   Nobody knows that Cole is on the road to party like a rock star one last time before quitting his dream to take a more practical job and settle down. What he hadn’t planned was to fall in love with a girl he believes is out of his league.

Will Cole play out the rock star fantasy he thinks Sonia wants from him, or tell her the truth and take the chance that she’ll either break his heart or make an even bigger dream come true?

Includes a preview of the first book in the Hub City Romance series, Loud Is How I Love You.

“Nobody writes rock and roll like Mercy Brown. With writing so exquisite you can feel the bass thumping in your chest, Stay Until We Break is like a hit song you can't get out of your head long after you've turned the last page.”—Sarina Bowen, USA Today bestselling author of Rookie Move

Praise for Loud Is How I Love You

“So full of soul and wit and seduction it makes something inside me twist deliciously, and I don’t think I’m returning to normal anytime soon.”—Christina Lauren, New York Times bestselling authors of the Beautiful series

Stay Until We Break if the first book by Mercy Brown that I’ve read and while it was touch and go for a bit because both Cole and Sunny drove me nuts with all of their non-communication, their assumptions and just overall boneheaded-ness…I did enjoy this book.

Cole’s band Soft is on a multi-city tour and with each passing day, his interest in the band’s tour manager grows. He’s trying to keep his distance because the only time she seems to want him is when she’s super drunk. Sonia, the tour manager and lead singer’s best friend has a huge crush on Cole. Her problem is that she is super awkward around guys and Cole is no exception. Liquid courage helps her through her nervousness when she’s around Cole and that makes hooking up with him hard because he won’t touch her if she’s drunk and she can’t talk to him if she’s sober. Haha, what a dilemma.

There were times when I thought I was going to go crazy from wanting to strangle both Cole and Sunny but I’m glad that I stuck with this one because it ended in just a way that was quite satisfying for me. I thought Mercy Brown did a great job with pulling the reader on tour with the band. I was right there through all of the tour shenanigans. I laughed at every single one of Joey’s tour hook ups, I was steamed with Cole and those two girls, I wanted to pull Sunny’s hair when she popped off at the mouth when Cole comes clean about his plans for after the tour and I wanted to push Emmy and Travis off a cliff with all of their boinking all over the place. In the end, all of these characters became family.

The romance between Cole and Sunny was cute but my favorite part of the book was all of the tour stuff. I loved being apart of their rock and roll tour journey. From the different shows to the crashing at different places and breaking down the stage gear, I loved all of that stuff. There was a lot of drug use and drinking in this book but it rang true to what truly goes down while on tour with a bunch of other musicians.

This was a great introduction into Mercy Brown’s work and I will definitely be reading more from her. She’s got a fresh voice that was easy to follow and I’m looking forward to more. I recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance and NA. This was a quick read that was fun and worth the slight frustrations.
