Why I’m Reading Infinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

At fourteen, Nick Gautier thinks he knows everything about the world around him. Streetwise, tough and savvy, his quick sarcasm is the stuff of legends. . .until the night when his best friends try to kill him. Saved by a mysterious warrior who has more fighting skills than Chuck Norris, Nick is sucked into the realm of the Dark-Hunters: immortal vampire slayers who risk everything to save humanity.

Nick quickly learns that the human world is only a veil for a much larger and more dangerous one: a world where the captain of the football team is a werewolf and the girl he has a crush on goes out at night to stake the undead.

But before he can even learn the rules of this new world, his fellow students are turning into flesh eating zombies. And he’s next on the menu.

As if starting high school isn’t hard enough. . .now Nick has to hide his new friends from his mom, his chainsaw from the principal, and keep the zombies and the demon Simi from eating his brains, all without getting grounded or suspended. How in the world is he supposed to do that?

I’ve been an avid fan of the Dark Hunters series for years. I think I started the series back in 2003 and I’ve never turned back. Even when I probably should have because SK turned away from the rules she made for her own world and even when one of the baddies got their own book, which I’m surprised to say that I’m still annoyed by.

But I guess I’m a ride or die chick because as much as I was exasperated by the need to have an entire series dedicated to one of the guys that I absolutely loved that is turning out to be a major douche (which I’m still hopeful that he’ll be redeemed), I’m still going to read this series.

Or at least, I’m going to try out the first book.

I know that I’m going to enjoy the books. I don’t think it’s possible for me to not enjoy any of SK’s book in some way or shape or form. She’s like drugs for my eyes.

I.just.can’t.help.myself.

Sherrilyn Kenyon is one of the authors that I’ll forgive anything. As long as she keeps writing DH books, I’ll keep reading them and Nick is apart of that series so I’ll be reading these books.

And I can’t wait!
