Saturday Song

Orannia left a comment on the Saturday Song post a couple of weeks ago and some of it was how she discovered the bank Journey by watching Glee.  I commented back that I wouldn’t have made it through my teens without Journey!  It got me to thinking about the songs that I listened to while I was growing up and there are so many!  I have an older brother and 2 older sisters and they introduced me to music that I might not have discovered otherwise.  So today I’m sharing a few of my favorite bands and songs with you.

First is Boston.  I just love them.  They were most popular in the 70’s and early 80’s but their songs, for me, never get old.  Here is Rock and Roll Band for your listening pleasure.

Next is Styx.  I love all of their songs but Renegade is one of my favs.

And last on the list for today is ELO (Electric Light Ochestra).  I just adored their music and still listen to their greatest hit CD’s on a regular basis.  Here’s Telephone Line one of their ballads and so good.  Enjoy.

  1. Love those bands! And I'm happy to report that Isaw them all in concert in their heyday.

I'd have to add Queen to that list of favorites (at least through The Game. It was all downhill after that, unfortunately.

  2. Thank you Tracy for the shout out 🙂 ELO is the only band I've heard of. I'm trying to think of what I listened too…I'm such an 80s gal so Duran Duran, Nik Kershaw, George Michael…
