It’s
not much of a secret that I’m an Anglophile.

not sure when it started; it’s possible that it was with the discovery of
Doctor Who. (You never forget your first Doctor. Mine was Tom Baker.) I loved
everything about the show, especially the accents, but also the science fiction
and time travel aspects. Around the same time I also discovered Monty Python’s
Flying Circus, which was deeply puzzling and hilarious at the same time.

that I’m middle-aged and the mother of an almost-teenager, my love of all
things British is well established. I adore Jaffa Cakes, Mumford & Sons,
and Shaun of the Dead. Being a lover of GLBT romance, I’ve also seen as many
GLBT British films as I can get my hands (and streaming device) on, and
recommend Beautiful Thing, Imagine Me & You, Maurice, Weekend, and Get Real in
addition to the TV series Queer as Folk
(original British version) and Lip
Service.

love writing with the charming and very talented Jane Davitt, who herself is
British (though she now lives in Canada.) There’s just something about the way
a British character puts words together that’s spellbinding for me. I could
listen to Anthony Stewart Head or Benedict Cumberbatch read the phone book and
be completely happy.

hoping to be able to revisit the main characters in my story, Evan and Russell,
at a later time. Their history and future together are just as interesting to
me as the way they work through the challenges this story presents, and the
setting is as important to me as the characters. I’m optimistic that readers
will find Evan and Russell as charming and exciting as I do!

I had a blind date with an Irishman when I was younger. I could've sat there all night just listening to him talk. Sadly all he talked about was himself, but it did sound really nice for the first half hour. Ha!
I remember watching Benny Hill and Monty Python as a kid and finding them hilarious but not really getting it until much later in life >.< I find myself in love with most things British so I can so feel you 😉
