Alright, so it’s that time of the month where we are supposed to be listing our favorite reads of the previous month. The first came on a Sunday and everyone knows that there are hardly ever any new posts on Sundays with Church and our real lives daring to get in the way but we didn’t forget about it and here it is, better late then never, right?
Rowena’s Picks:
This month was a slow reading month for me compared to the rest of the year so far, but I’ve got to say that I did read some really good books this month, books that I will no doubt be reading more and more as the years go by, so don’t be surprised if you see another review for a weekly reread in the books that I’ve read this month.
All the books that I’ve read:
- Crazy Cool by Tara Janzen
- A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole
- Crazy Wild by Tara Janzen
- Crazy Kisses by Tara Janzen
- Crazy Love by Tara Janzen
- The Kept Woman by Susan Donovan
- Maybe Baby by Lani Diane Rich
- See Jane Score by Rachel Gibson
That’s 8 books, such a small number but oh well, I’ll do better soon, I hope. I’m already sucking it up with my summer reading challenge but I’ll try harder on that tip as well. My favorite book of the books that I read this month has to be The Kept Woman by Susan Donovan and that’s mainly because I loved reading all about Sam and Jack falling for each other while they’re supposed to be pretending to love each other. Their chemistry was fantastic and the storyline was funny, quirky and engaging. It had me laughing, sighing and just all out enjoying the heck out of the book and really, you couldn’t ask for anything better than that. It’d be my pick of the month, I’m pimping it to errbody! =)
Isabel’s Turn
For the month of June I read:
Meghan’s Mark by Lora Leigh
Morning Come Softly by Debbie Macomber
Rises the Night by Colleen Gleason
Muse by Adra Steia
I think I did better this month. My favorite read would have to be a tie between Morning Come Softly and Muse. Both books had me hooked. Next up would be Rises the Night. Meghan’s Mark was just… meh.
Until next month….
