City girl Breanne Mooreland gets left at the altar, takes the flight from hell to her honeymoon-alone-loses her luggage, and ends up snowed in at a Sierra mountains lodge run by the kookiest staff this side of the Addams Family. Oh, and there’s a gorgeous naked man taking a shower in her suite who says he isn’t going anywhere. That’s just the first 24 hours.
Burned-out vice cop Cooper Scott is in serious need of this vacation, and he’s not about to give up the only available room because an upset-okay, make that insane-woman is having a conniption fit. They’ll just have to make the best of it-her side of the bed versus his. But when Cooper wakes up kissing the long, leggy Breanne, he wants to show her exactly what the honeymoon suite is intended for. But that will have to wait, because a screaming Breanne has just stumbled on a very dead body. So much for vacation.
Another Jill Shalvis down and another Jill Shalvis to love. I think Jill Shalvis has taken Meg Cabot’s place as my author crush. Each and every book by her that I’ve read so far, I’ve loved and this book wasn’t any different.
One of the main things about this book that I absolutely loved was Cooper Scott. First, his name is super sexy (thank goodness she picked Cooper out of her purse of names) and second, he was a naughty flirt who I couldn’t get enough of. I loved the witty, naughty banter between Cooper and Breanne. I loved their first meeting and I just hecka loved these two together.
This book was another fun, contemporary romp of a book that I ate right up. It had a great storyline, the whole woe is me vacation turned into steamy hump fest just seriously cracked me up.
Cooper Scott just quit his job as being a vice cop. He’s drained and he needs a vacation like no other. His brother has rented him a getaway house for a couple of weeks and he’s going to enjoy the hell out of his time off so off he goes into the mountains for a little R&R. He’s hoping to find some cute snow bunnies out there and end his dry spell too.
Only he doesn’t find a snow bunny but some crazy lady holding a glowing vibrator watching him scrub down, bare ass naked in the shower.
This is going to be an interesting vacation to say the least.
And it definitely was because that crazy lady with the vibrator turned out to be Breanne Mooreland and she was jilted on her wedding day and she’s going on her honeymoon to regroup and forget about men because her luck with men is horrible. So imagine her surprise when she walks into her getaway house and finds a gorgeous naked man in her shower.
Oh my….
Breanne was a great heroine. She had her moments when she drove me absolutely insane with all of her wishy washiness with Cooper and she damn near gave the guy blue balls but she was still a fun heroine who was trying to do what she thought was best for her considering her track record with men and she was still hilariously funny. I loved how she was drawn to Cooper, against her will over and over again. She was just a fun heroine. Goofy fun.
This book was frickin’ hilarious. From the beginning of the book to the end of the book, I seriously laughed my ass off. It’s such a fun book to read on a cold autumn night and Jill Shalvis really knows how to write a story that will have you smiling, laughing and then rushing to turn the pages. Her stories are really engaging and you won’t be able to do anything but enjoy the ride. This book was filled with a great cast, a great storyline and it’s a story that I know all of you guys will enjoy.
What had me cracking up is all the humping that was going on in the house. All the different couples had me laughing and the workers were funny in their own way and I enjoyed their little side stories. The only thing that was a bit of a downer was that the mystery behind who killed the dead guy was seen be me (who usually doesn’t see any hot damn thing) from a mile away or in this case, Chapter like 4 or whatever. But I didn’ t read this book for the mystery, I read it for the sweet, sweaty romp of a romance. It was great!
Should you get this book and read it? Heck yes. It’s a laugh a minute.

I have to duck when I say this but I’ve never read a Shalvis novel. I know – how can I be a friend of TBB and not have read Shalvis? I have no idea. And after reading your review I think I’m going to have to rectify the situation immediately.
This was a fun book, I liked it a lot. But of course, I love all her books.
