We’re down to our final two! There’s a good mix in this bag, including:
Hallam’s War by Elisabeth Payne Rosen
Kiss of the Phantom by Julie Leto
Seduced at Midnight by Jacquie D’Alessandro
Practice Makes Perfect by Julie James
If you were stuck in an airport for three days, what one book would you want to have with you?
This is a daily giveaway, which means it ends today. The winner will be announced at midnight tonight, PDT. Because we’ll need a little time to pick a winner, the contest will end at 10 p.m. pdt.
Remember, we’ll be giving a Book Bag away every weekday (Monday-Friday) for the rest of the month!
I chose Outlander, because it’s one of my favorite and it’s 1000 pages long and 3 days is an awfully long time !!!
xoxo
Mr. Perfect – by Linda Howard
Omg. Stuck in an airport for 3 days? I… would just leave. Or… throw myself out a window and end it all. (Kidding on that one.) But I was stuck in an airport for 8 hours recently and I thought I might cry. (I was also too distressed to read.)
What book would I want? The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas. Unabriged, obviously. Not only would it be enjoyable, it could double as a weapon. Even as a paperback. 😛
First, I would go crazy if I was stuck in an airport. I am already scared to fly, so I would probably never get on the plane after that!
Now, onto the question, what one book would I want? Can I say anything by Maya Banks? I love all of her stuff, so anything by her would be my pick!
Amy M
3 days! Yikes, I would have time to reread it many times then, so I would go for Magician by Raymond E.Feist, it’s big and I love it
No question – Outlander!!! I can re-read that book and it never gets old.
I have had Outlander by Diana Gabaldon on my TBR shelf for years–there never seems to be enough time to dive into it. So while three days at an airport would be horrible, I would love to read that and see if I like it as much as I think I will.
airport…eww i hate airports. :0)
but if i was stuck in one for 3 days i would want lover avenged by j.r.ward. i just can’t get enough of that book. i love it !
It would have to be Naked in Death by JD Robb. I could re-read that bok over and over and over again from cover to cover w/o skipping to the good stuff like I usually do.
One of Sherilyn Kenyon’s or Laurel K. Hamilton’s. They’re long, full of action, and just awesome.
Hmm. Very difficult.
I’d have to choose IN CONQUEST BORN by CS Friedman.
Let’s see, I average about 50 pages an hour, call it 12 hours of reading a day, times 3 days…do the math, carry the one..it better be The Complete Works of Shakespeare (that’s one book, right, right? Don’t disillusion me, just agree).
Trapped for 3 days with one book?
I would pick The Lord of The Rings novel (3-in-1).
🙂
All the best,
RKCharron
xoxo
I would choose The Raven Prince by Elizabeth Hoyt.
Probably something long that I haven’t read before…like maybe Gone with the Wind LOL Three days is a long time!
I would choose 1001 nights because i started it and never finished, and sice its soo big i would have plenty of time to read
battyaboutbats at gmail.com
I surprised myself by the answer that sprung instantly to mind…it was The Dark Highlander by KMM…I guess if I’m going to be stuck somehwere for 3 days, I want to be stuck with Dageus!
I would definitely need something long and one I haven’t read before. I’m going to go with Outlander since I’ve heard good things about it.
3 days and just 1 book!? Even if I took Outlander….I would have to start re-reading it. Could I just have my blackberry with a bunch of eBooks? Then I might survive!
Kiss An Angel and Nobody’s Baby But Mine by SEP – 3 days is a long time – LOL
Only one book? Man! I guess I would have to have a big one… something by John Jakes – his are always long and I haven’t read him before even though my mother has always said I should
dcf_beth at verizon dot net
Swan Song by Robert McCammon!
Surprisingly, I have recently done some traveling and have been in airports/airplanes for about 26 hours each time. And each time I brought one of Eloisa James’ Desperate Duchesses Novels.
So I would bring one of them, probably the last one since it was my favorite!
After lots of deliberation, I’d pick Lover Awakened by JR Ward. I love Z and his story is so emotional.
Anything by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I can read and re-read her books forever and they never get old.
I would pick Lora Leigh’s book titled Legacy she so got me hoked on erotica romance. Lol
The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale.
wandanamgreb(at)gmail(dot)com
It would have to be The Road Less Travelled by Dr. M. Scott Peck because this book is very special to me.I was seventeen when I read it for the first time, going through a really rough time in my relationship with my mom.The process of reading this book, gave me the courage to make my life happier all by myself. I can read it over and over again, and each time I read it I discover something new. 🙂
I’d chose Laid Bare by Lauren Dane, because i just read it and i want to read it again and it would keep me all warm for days lol I think it could actually make me forget i’m stuck in an airport 😉
I’d have to say Darkfever by KMM. I just finished it, but would love to have 3 days to pour over it again to get all the details.
Paradise by Judith McNaught. Unfortunately, that would only take care of Day One.
I would like to be reading Lorelei Jame’s Should have been a Cowboy. That would keep me company, but I might get it done too fast and have to look for more to read, so I’d want the Rough Riders Series with me.
As someone who can read three books in a day I have aproblem with three days and one book. Guess I could opt for Deeds Of Paksennarion by Elizabeth Moon as I often reread that one and don’t mind doing it a few times over three days. If not that then it would have to be Lord Of The Rings trilogy in one book for the same reason 😀
If its 3 days I would definintely pick one of Diana Gabaldon’s books in Outlander series.
Probably How to Win Friends and Influence People, because after three days in an airport…you just know it’s gonna get ugly – kidding (sorta). Probably Kenyon’s Acheron…it’s about 800 pages, that should keep me entertained between fights.
Mine would be Saving Grace or The Secret by Julie Garwood.
Well, just one book wouldn’t last me very long. I would need something new and fairly long. I guess I would take Eloisa James’ latest book A DUKE OF HER OWN.
Sky O’Malley by Bertrice Small.
Ok, I was just in Airport hell and actually JUST got in at 11 am this morning from an 11 day trip. 14 hours in an Airport and I would have chosen book four in my Fav series by J.R. Ward’s BDB bad boy vampires, LOVER REVEALED. I so love Butch’s story!

A long book, for sure! I would choose either the newest Diana Gabaldon (b/c I haven’t read it yet), or Voyager, my favorite volume of her series to re-read.
Alternatively, I could choose a Guy Gavriel Kay book — I can re-read his books over and over. Tigana, The Lions of Al-Rassan, or A Song for Arbonne would keep me happy, I think.
Although if I had my laptop, I would have LOTs of ebooks from which to choose!
I’d go against the clear trend for fiction, and select a non-fiction book on magick, paganism, the Craft, etc. Not sure which one, maybe one of Scott Cunningham’s that I haven’t read throughly, or some compendeum.
For me it would depend on if I’m in a m/f mood or m/m mood. For m/f, it would be any book by Lorelei James and for m/m, it would be any book by TA Chase.
I would choose Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris. I could get lost in this one and so the three days would be a breeze.
Probably Karen Marie Moning’s Dreamfever. Just so I can keep reading it seeing if I missed anything.
The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons, hands down.
Robyn
RCBrodrick88@yahoo.com
Well it would have to be something big, so I’m thinking JM’s Paradise.
Erin 🙂
Don’t laugh but I’d want my Bible.
mj.coward[at]gmail.com
my copy of the Black Jewels Trilogy in one volume.
Naked in Death by J.D Robb! I could really this book over and over again and not get tired of it.
kalynnick AT yahoo DOT com
I would pick Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson because I know I could get some more out of it with a few more reads.
Def have to be a new D. Macomber Cedar Cove book!!!! I would have no idea I was in an airport. I always feel like I’m in Cedar Cove. I dream about those books while I’m reading them.
3 days, 1 book?!?! It would have to be “Outlander”…I haven’t read it yet because I’m afraid to start and get consumed by this Jamie guy while having to go to work =)
Something hot, heavy and steamy to keep me distracted…although I might be distracted in a bad way considering where I’m at….oh well…I still vote for hot and steamy~
Marta
Marta’s Meanderings
It would have to be GONE WITH THE WIND. I saw the movie and loved it but never read the book. Since the movie was 4 hours long, I bet the book is even longer! So, definitely my choice is GWTW!
one book… for three days?!
what to choose, what to choose…
I think I’d have to go with any novel written by Loretta Chase. They’re relatively long, and always enjoyable! I don’t think I’ve been disappointed by a single word that woman’s written!
I would bring ‘The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie’ by Jennifer Ashley. I fell so in love with that book!
I would want to have my current favorite Thirst by Christopher Pike
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows would be a good one. Might even get to read it twice. lol
Deidre
Well, it would have to be a pretty long book to last me that long if there’s nothing else to do. I’m listening to Voyager by Diana Gabaldon at the moment, so I guess one of the books from the Outlander series.
I would bring Loretta Chase’s “Lord Perfect.”
It would have to be something fun…as three days in the airport sounds like absolute torture!
Probably something by Susan Elizabeth Phillips…I love her!!
That’s tough. I love Pride and Prejudice but I would read it too quickly. Right now I’m reading Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson and it’s pretty long but am enjoying it so I’ll go with that.
