I hate cigarette smoking covers. I ding the book at least ten points for that alone. Also, I’m not sure, but I think some of those tattoos might rise to the level of cultural appropriation. All-round “ugh” from me.
Yeah, the tattoo is the old Atlanta Braves logo. So there’s the smoking AND the racist baseball tattoo – but it also looks like he’d leave a grease stain if he sat on that white upholstered chair behind him.
Somewhat o/t, but the only time a cigarette-smoking model on the cover has worked for me is Sybil Bartel’s FEARLESS (part of her Alpha Bodyguards series) because there’s an entire subplot about the hero eventually quitting smoking. He’s smoke-free by the epilogue.

He definitely does not match the furniture! I guess that’s because he’s a rebel.

Oh, Wendy. I heart you. Lol
He looks like he should be doing whatever he’s doing in another room.
I totally agree, not a fan of these types of covers. Doesn’t scream out rebel to me and the cigarette is really unattractive
I don’t hate the cover, but I really feel like cigarette’s are a big turn off for me in a cover.
