Be with MeRowena’s review of Be with Me (Wait for Me #2) by J. Lynn.

Teresa Hamilton is having a rough year—she’s in love with her big brother’s best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a truly amazing, mind-blowing, change-your-life kiss. She got out of a terrible relationship. And now an injury is threatening to end her dance career for good. It’s time for Plan B – college. And maybe a chance to convince Jase that what they have together is real.

Jase Winstead has a huge secret that he’s not telling anyone. Especially not his best friend’s incredibly beautiful sister. Even though he and Teresa shared the hottest kiss of his life, he knows that his responsibilities must take priority. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But it doesn’t help that all he can think about kissing the one girl who could ruin everything for him.

As they’re thrown together more and more, Jase and Tess can’t keep denying their feelings for each other. But a familiar danger looms and tragedy strikes. As the campus recovers, the star-crossed couple must decide what they’re willing to risk to be together, and what they’re willing to lose if they’re not…

This is the second book in the Wait for You series by J. Lynn. It’s a contemporary new adult book and features Cam’s best friend and younger sister.

When we’re introduced to Teresa in Wait for You, she’s going through some stuff. She’s a ballet dancer who’s injured and was in an abusive relationship with her last boyfriend. So she’s got some pretty emotional baggage. She’s also got a huge crush on her brother’s best friend, Jase Winstead. A crush that is made ten times worse when he kisses her and rocks her entire world. But the minute the kiss is over, Jase disappears and keeps his distance.

Dreams of going to ballet school are put on hold when Teresa injures her knee. So in the meantime, Teresa registers for college classes at the same school that Jase goes to. Because Cam goes to the same school, Teresa knows that she’ll run into Jase around campus and when Jase shows up in one of her classes, Teresa is equal parts thrilled and not so thrilled at being so close to him when he’s made it more than clear that he wants nothing but friendship from her.

Jase wants Teresa. He’s always wanted her, ever since the moment he first saw her when she was 16 but she was too young then. She was still in high school but she’s in college now and he wants what he wants and trying to keep things friendly is getting harder and harder. Especially when he tells her why she deserves far better than the likes of him and she still wants him.

Seeing these two get closer and closer over the course of the book was too freaking cute. I enjoyed getting to know both of them and seeing them fall in love. Jase was such a good hero and Tess was such a great match for him. I thought their story was such a cute one. The way that Jase came to terms with his feelings for Tess and the way that the two of them fell in love with each other had me sighing all over the place.

I loved Jase’s love for Jack and the guilt that he had where Jack was concerned made me love him all the more. The love that he had for those close to him made him all the more swoonworthy. There was so much about Jase to love. From his friendship to Cam, to the way he loved Tess and Jack and even his parents, made him just that much more sexier. When he pulled away from Tess after she declares her love for him made me want to smack him upside his head but he gets it right in the end and that made me happy.

Tess was a strong character that I came to admire the hell out. She overcame so many different things in her young life and she just came right back out, swinging. It wasn’t hard to figure out why Jase fell in love with her because she was a very likable character with a strong support system in her family..and in Jase. I really liked her friend, Calla. She was a great person to have in your corner.

Overall, this book was another great addition to this series. I liked both Jase and Tess and this book left me wanting even more from the rest of the series. I can’t wait. Definitely recommend.
