Princess Breena had been dreaming of her warrior lover when she was ripped from her Elden castle and thrown into a strange, dangerous realm. Lost and alone, she prayed for survival and vengeance for her stolen kingdom. She found both in a woodland cottage…in a dark bear of a man.
The golden-haired beauty had eaten his food and slept in his bed when Osborn found her. Though he wanted to awaken his virgin princess to carnal pleasures, Breena wanted more—including his warrior skills. Skills the once-legendary mercenary had long buried. Now Osborn had a choice—risk his life or deny his princess her fairy-tale ending.
Princess Breena has been dreaming of a man for months. She loves falling asleep and opening her mind to this warrior that she can only visit while dreaming. When her family’s castle is attacked she is thinking how she would love to have her warrior by her side when she suddenly is transported away from the castle.
She ends up in Ursa far away from her homeland. She sees no one for days and is tired, hurt and hungry. She comes upon a cottage and though no one is home they have food and a bed – which she takes advantage of.
Osborn is shocked when he finds a woman sleeping in his bed – and even more shocked when he finds it’s his dream woman. He thought she was just a figment of his imagination but here she is, in the flesh. He knows immediately that he can’t be distracted by her and knows she must leave his home. The pair end up making a deal though and the longer Breen stays the more he wants her to stay.
I really liked man things about this book. I loved how it was taken after the fairy tale of Goldilocks and the three bears. That tale never gets enough air time in my opinion! Lol I also very much liked how the author gave Breena a couple of different connections that would both draw them together and possibly push them apart. There was great tension, hot lovin and some sweet romance in the story that really made it a good read.
I have to say I am a bit disappointed, once again, in the fact that nothing happened with seeking vengeance on the Blood Sorcerer who is the villain who attacked their home. The two things that were implanted in all the four children before they were sent away was “avenge” and “survive”. We’ve seen two of the children survive but nothing about avenging. I really hope that we get more info about this in book 3 and don’t have to wait until book 4 to find out how they fight back.
I’m also quite curious about the timeline in this series. In book 1 Nicolai, the oldest brother, was gone for 20 years. In this story Breena was gone for maybe a couple of months if that. I can’t quite figure out how it’s all going to work as I can’t imagine Breena and her Beserker waiting 20 or more years. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.

Great review! I think this is the second I've seen this week, and now I am truly intrigued by this series! I'll have to add it to the list as well. 😀
Goldilocks and the three (or is it just one, in this case?) bears, huh? Interesting! Lol. And I'm sure very different from the childhood tale–I always love when authors try to take favorite myths and tales from childhood and turn them into adult fairytales instead. Course, try watching the Disney version of it with children while your mind is thinking of the dirtier version… a bit uncomfortable, to say the least! LOL.
Enjoy,

TBQ – I'm definitely interested to see how the series comes together.
There were 3 men…actually 3 brothers who were living together – Breena only fell in love with 1. lol
The Bear was the spirit/God of the Ursa and where the Beserker's got their strength so it all tied in. 🙂
Lovely review Tracy 🙂 I know author have used a number of fairytales, but I've never heard of Goldilocks & the Three Bears!
Thanks, Orannia. I've not read one with the 3 bears either. At first it I thought it might be a bit silly but it was good. 🙂
