Trivia about the number 46…

There are 46 chromosomes in each cell – except for sperm & egg that only have 23.

Forty-six is a Wedderburn-Etherington number, an enneagonal number and a centered triangular number. It is the sum of the totient function for the first twelve integers. 46 is the largest even integer that can’t be expressed as a sum of two abundant numbers. (I have no effin idea what this means!)

Valentino Rossi, one of the greatest motorcycle riders of all time, uses 46 as his number. (who?)

The number of mountains in the 46 peaks of the Adirondack mountain range.

There are quite a few books with the words forty-six in the title.  I tried to count but got distracted by something shiney.

The number that unlocks the Destiny spaceship on the popular Sci-Fi TV show Stargate Universe. (I know, incredibly useful information. You know, in case you ever need to open the spaceship, hello!)

The name of a defensive scheme used in American football. 

The code for international direct dial phone calls to Sweden. (Ok, who lives in Sweden so I can double check this info?)

The age that I turn today.

It’s true – today is my birthday and I turn..you guessed it, 46.  

And when I was younger I thought that people who were 40 were freakin ancient.  lol

    No friggin' way! You are NOT 46. (And you lost me on point two. LOL) I would have said mid-30's at most. Are you sure? Have you double-checked?

    Happy Birthday, Baby Girl!! I know we will have our own B-Day celebration and you and your hubby and kids were celebrating tonight, but you were just the absolutely best baby–no night feedings–and all that beautiful red hair even when you were just born–looking at me through the clear plastic of the baby bed in the delivery room and just giving me the once-over. Many more of these great days is my wish for you and I hope I can hang around for as many of them as possible. Love, Mom+
