It’s my birthday month so I’ve gone through this bookshelves of B&N website, searching for books that I’m lusting after and I came up with some pretty darn good ones. Check out the books that I want more than I want to eat.
Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander’s face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate . . . until she sees Ky Markham’s face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.
The Society tells her it’s a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she’s destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can’t stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society’s infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she’s known and a path that no one else has dared to follow.
I’ve been seeing this book being reviewed all over blog land and while I haven’t read too much of the reviews (more like browsed through the grades), I can easily tell you guys that I’m mighty interested in reading this one. It looks pretty good and it’s getting a lot of good grades online. So on the wishlist this book goes.
2. Stefan’s Diaries by L.J. Smith.
Set during the Civil War, against a backdrop of grand estates, unimaginable riches, and deadly secrets, three teenagers in Mystic Falls, Virginia enter a torrid love triangle that will span eternity. Brothers Stefan and Damon Salvatore are inseparable until they meet Katherine, a stunning, mysterious woman who turns their world upside down.
I’m an avid watcher of this television series (I’m also thinking about doing a weekly recap of my thoughts on the show every Friday but for the most part, I’m just lazy) but I’ve never read the books. I keep wanting to read them but I always put the books back but now they’re coming out with Stefan’s diaries. I heart Stefan so I want this book.
3. Five Flavors of Dumb by Antony John.
The Challenge: Piper has one month to get the rock band Dumb a paying gig.
The Deal: If she does it, Piper will become the band’s manager and get her share of the profits.
The Catch: How can Piper possibly manage one egomaniacal pretty boy, one talentless piece of eye candy, one crush, one silent rocker, and one angry girl? And how can she do it when she’s deaf?
Piper can’t hear Dumb’s music, but with growing self-confidence, a budding romance, and a new understanding of the decision her family made to buy a cochlear implant for her deaf baby sister, she discovers her own inner rock star and what it truly means to be a flavor of Dumb.
To be honest, I’m already reading this book for an ARC Tour and I’m really into it so because I have to give this book up to the next tour stop, this book is going on my wish list. The blurb and the cover is what drew me in with this book and I’m happy to say that I wasn’t disappointed. This book is a treat and I can’t wait to own it!
Hmm, strange but that’s all I can think of right now. But what about you? What’s on YOUR wish list?
..and that’s your scoop!

Oh! I want Matched too, and the Five Flavors of Dumb sounds good too 🙂
Cool wish list.
And happy birthday month!
Ohhhhh, Matched looks so exciting! Hmmmm. I heart the Vampire Diaries. However I am totally Team Damon! I read the books when I was a kid and I liked them, and I was a Team Damon back then to (But for a totally different reason).
Thanks AnimeGirl! I can’t wait to finally get my hands on these books!
